I got tired of fussing with my original hood latch and really like the hood pins as an easy and functional solution. These will scuff up quickly, but for quick access to a car that sees frequent outings they are a great choice. Finding and fabricating a good support for attachment isn't always a walk in the park, but I like the outcome.

I bought these for a temp fix until I get the rest of the hardware for my other hood pins. They come as described and seem to be well made. The pins themselves seem to be hollow or aluminum. Not impressed by the packaging but I really don’t care if they are scratched. Definitely not show car worthy unless you do some work on the plates.

Easy to install and good quaility.

It works just as I thought for my 2002 1500hd Silverado. I recently got a fiberglass hood, and it sat a little higher on the front sides from the body line. This was an easy and cheap fix to get the hood to fit perfectly. For the people complaining that it scratches to easily (which is true). If you don’t know how to prep and paint these to be more scratch resistant I don’t think you should be drilling holes in your hood.

Need to be stronger material for pins and bigger cables would be nice, first close of hood and ruined threads on the first 1/4 of rod on both sides

These bad boys have been on the hood of my Subaru for the last two years ever since the hood latch broke. I've gone at a good speed to test if these bad boys will break and they haven't. Solid product, easy to install.

retro look on 2004 Honda. The latch under the hood broke and would have required extensive repair. The hood pins were an affordable option that installed in twenty minutes. Plus they were black and matched all the black trim on the silver Honda. Looked like they belonged there. Work great.
