I have tried all sorts of electric head shavers and face shavers, the last being the pitbull which I used for a year. The pitbull did not do well on my face. To be honest no electric shaver did well on my face. All created irritatation and I have stuck to regular razors my entire life. So, not long after only a short year my pitbull razor died which put me down the path of "do I stick with what I know or try something different". I did lots of research. Battery length, usability, closeness of shave, cost and I decided to give this razor a try. I'm very happy that I did. Super close head shave (just as good if not better then the pitbull). Darn close to as good as a regular razor to. Less passes due to having more blades, it gets that little spot just above my ears that the pitbull never did... aaaand it works amazing on my face. Never had an electric razor that worked well on my face. I've used it every day for almost 2 weeks and the battery is only down to 70% which I can see do to the small screen. I never knew when the pitbull was low due to it not having a battery screen. Absolutely a fantastic purchase which is well worth the fairly inexpensive cost. I don't leave very many reviews but felt the product was more then worth it.. Update - i used the Hummingbird everyday from the day that I got it. Unlike my old pitbull with no display this told me exactly how much charge was left. When it git to 5% I figured it was fine for a charge. I started using this May 29th and it lasted, on one charge to April 30th. Over a month id daily use on one charge. Impressive.

Product was exactly as described, works great, for me, I use with jel in shower, get in all areas of head with ease, such as around ears any creases near back of head, I've used the hummingbird 7 times now, easier. And fast. Sad to say it was at 87 percent on last use, went to use again, no power, I checked if the power off button was locked. Nothing no power. I put on charger3 hours. Still nothing, no power, definitely something wrong, I liked the way the shaver worked while working. Less than a month, july 25was order day, its the 21th of August now, thanks dj.

Hmm... I just got this and I am not sure how to describe it except to say that my hair went from stubble to really -really short stubble. (kind of like I shaved with a razor three hours ago, it isn't smooth and it still looks good, but I can feel it) It is really uniform and worked well with no pulling or anything negative except perhaps the closeness of the shave. It is just that my last product (which is no longer available) gave me a closer shave for 2 years. Redoing and going in circular or different directions does not get a different result. I'm mostly happy. The heads flex well, the coverage is good too so it would be unlikely to miss a swath.

This is the first time using an electric shaver on my head as I always used the Gillette Fusion with the ridiculously priced blades that they have locked up in a safe in Walmart. I thought it would be faster using one of these electric ones and I looked at reviews of several before deciding ionthe Hummingbird. Only reason was I liked that the whole thing was in your hand while a few of the others had a handle of sorts that seemed to me would make it harder to use with you hand a few inches above the razor. This is perfect and definitely faster than using just a razor in the shower. I'll do it before getting in and maybe will have to do minor touch ups with the blade , but it's nothing that would be noticeable if I didn't . So far, after two weeks , I would recommend it .... very satisfied. ======================== ADDITIONAL ; This is just some additional info ; While cleaning I must have gotten a little rough with the cleaning brush on the center blade that holds the spring ( small plastic encasement ) that engages all the other blades and knocked it out. Though I didn't lose it and wasn't damaged , without the special tools it was impossible to put back so I contacted the company on how to do it. They responded that without the tools it's probably a waste of time trying and sent me a replacement head for just the shipping charge which I was happy about. I'd say that they should have a note in the brochure about being careful brushing that center blade because of this and maybe they can figure out how to make that not so delicate to be knocked out by cleaning (from now on I'll just hit that center part with a stream on water) . I still give it five stars especially for the customer service who couldn't have been better about it. Just be careful with cleaning around that part.

The shaver itself is well built, and has great battery life. I really want to like it, for the majority of my head it works great. The back of my neck however, that’s a different story. No matter how I try, it leaves my neck with instant razor burn that’s unavoidable. I’ve tried wet, dry, and with gel, all the same result. Maybe electric just isn’t for me
