IS the side guide able to be removed to cut length of board

If you're asking if the board can be ripped, no. You can only chop either straight or at an angle, but not the length of the board. However, buying this tool was the BEST move for our flooring project!

Smallest pieces in length you are able to cut? I see people need to put there foot on before cutting when they are short boards.

I purchased this product and was truly disappointed. It was hard to cut a piece of laminate. Had to push real hard. Not worth the money or the time..
