This has given perfect lighting for my reptile.

This light is great. My bearded dragon loves to sit under it and he has been more active every day since I got it. The light does not give off heat so it shouldn't melt the plastic and mesh on top of the tank or affect your tank temperatures. I just set mine on top and it works perfectly. It is also really bright and lights up the tank a lot which I love. If anyone is looking to buy this product I would say it is a 10/10 and works perfectly for my bearded dragon.

I tested this 10. UVB light is working well in my turtle's tank, and my turtle liked to bask under it. It has a detachable cord, and the fixture seems well made. The bulb fits securely. It is not heavy, so you can use it on top of a screen without worry. (I will point out that if you put a UVB light over a screen, it can cut the amount of UVB by up to 50%, depending on the density of the screen. A screen with wider spaces will allow more light through.) This bulb seems like it will work well, and I believe it to be a good product! I have not yet tested it with a UVB output card, so I can only trust that it is putting out the right amount of light. But I will do so shortly and edit this review if I find it is not.Since it is a 10.0, I made sure the light was not too close to him, as I typically use a 5.0 UVBfor my aquatic turtle, but this will be perfect during the winter when he doesn't get natural sunlight exposure during his supervised outdoor excursions. I recommend!

Decent size light, works great for my sterilite tub with my male ball python in it. It doesn't get hot and doesn't damage the plastic. The UV output works. You can get a UV detector card to make sure it still works as UV generally deteriorates over time. My python definitely seems more active and hangs out under it all the time. I can't remember the cost of it, but I believe it was similar to other UV bar lights. It is a standard size as well, so finding a bulb replacement is easy!
