CURLSMITH Fragrance-Free Strong Hold Styling Gel - Long-Lasting Frizz Control for Defined Curls (8 oz)

Excellent product! I have asthma and must avoid all fragrances, and this completely fragrance-free. It’s clear and very thick; I often put some water on my hands to thin it out a bit before spreading through my hair. Great hold for curls and waves. Left alone it dries a little stiff and crispy, but if I either scrunch it while drying or even after it dries to break up the crispiness it still holds well and keeps curls/waves defined and looking very natural, and with no wet look. Next day I can “re-activate” the gel and my hair often looks even better on day 2. Does not leave any flaking residue. I don’r recall ever liking ANY gel better than this one.

I have fine hair and this is the strong hold that my curls need. After drying I was easily able to get rid of the crunch. Second day only needed a little fluffing up with my fingers and a bit of hairspray and I was good to go. Recommend.

I wanted a fragrance free gel and this works great. I was using the Morrocan Oil one and the Curlsmith is just as good if not better because it it fragrance free.

Pretty good for 2B-2C hair—a little goes a long way. One down side for me is the texture is quite tacky. It inevitably transfers a bit onto my neck and ears and is a sensory nightmare, especially when I was figuring out how much to use at the start (which was far and above too much). I have never felt such urgency to wash after using a hair product. That being said, it is a pretty decent, long lasting gel; hard to strike the balance between frizz control and crunchy curls. One of my top2 gels in terms of fabulous and long-lasting hold and ease of scrunching out the cast. It is deceptive when you squirt some in your hand, or at least I found it deceptive and put A LOT on my hair that first time. I've since realized to add a small amount of water to my hands and rub my hands (with the gel already on a palm) to thin it out a bit so I get the fabulous hold without adding way more gel than necessary. Autobuy for me.

The BEST GEL ever!!! Gives an excellent cast that prevents frizz, but breaks easily when dry to reveal super soft, defined, frizz-free curls. I also find that it doesn’t kill my volume. I’ve tried SO MANY gels, and this is the one for me. I also really appreciate that it has no fragrance, as I’m allergic to most fragrances. Type 2a-3a curls (yes all of those types on one head), fine, high porosity hair.

VERY sticky, I tried using less but then it does not do the job. My hair feels like sticky plastic. But there are not many unscented products out there so I use it when I have to go out on special occasions.

I gave five stars because it really defines my curls and is definitely strong hold, so it did what I wanted. However it was hard to break up curls and make them soften up. I was still feeling the crunch so might be a little too strong for me. I did like that it doesn't have a fragrance as some hair products can be overwhelming.

Very strong gel , also leave the hair shine . Completely fragrance free , who have allergies to fragrance I really recommend

Leider ist dieses Lockengel gar nichts für meine Haare. Es hat gar keinen Slip und nach dem Trocknen sind sie ganz verklebt, sodass ich sie gleich wieder waschen könnte. Sie sehen irgendwie ungesund und schmierig aus. Der hält ist an einigen Stellen sehr gut und an anderen Stellen werden sie schnell wieder frizzig. Schade hatte mir erhofft, da curlssmith eigentlich immer sehr gute Produkte hat.

Very strong stuff. It is indeed fragrance free and didn't give me an attack. Its for a crisp curl. Mine is just wavy so too strong. Diluted it for my hair.

Great product

This has replaced the wonderful Shine Jelly. It's nothing like it, leaving my hair dry, dull and rough feeling. Curlsmith have lost a customer and I've wasted twenty odd pounds. Avoid.
