It is very sharp.
I bought it to cut into the bones of salmon and other fish and am sure it will do the job, it has some weight to it and it is very sharp.

Nice KNife
Came very sharp, comfortable handle and cuts easily though a bit on the weighty side but that works to its benefit for a chopping style knife.

A good blade 🔪
Really good for heavy carving duty. Has a well built heft, and a nice piece to add to your kitchen blade collection.

Solid knife, terrible sheath
There are a lot of things I like about this knife- it is super sharp, it looks nice, and it has a unique design. It is overall quite versatile for cutting/ chopping meats, veggies, etc. and can also be used effectively as a multi-purpose survival knife. It has the appearance of being "hand forged" but I think there's almost zero chance that is the case. I'm not saying it looks bad, but i'm definitely not convinced that the marks on the blade were done by a human hand and not simply pressed into the blade. This isn't a big deal- but something I wanted to note. The reason for 3 stars is because the sheath is garbage. The first few times I took it out and re-sheathed it, the knife made several significant cuts in the cheap "leather" sheath. This is a pretty big issue for me because a knife of this size absolutely needs a good sheath for storage/ transportation. Once when sheathing the blade, it cut nearly all the way through the buckle that secures the knife in the sheath. The next time the blade made a pretty sizable cut in the fake leather sheath. I can tell the sheath is going to have to go in the trash in no time, and then I'll have to find another method to store this thing. Its a pretty uncommon shape for a blade, so I don't think its going to be easy to find a replacement.Knife=4/5Sheath=2/5Overall=3/5
