Outstanding design and functionality. Excellent DJI Quality
I've been consistently impressed with the DJI power series and the quality of both the hardware and the software. The 1kw super fast charger is no exception. My use case for this is twofold, I wanted to be able to charge at 1000w during power outages and storms where solar may not be the best option. I also wanted to augment my vehicle's electrical system as it tends to drain the dual batteries quite quickly. This charger accomplishes both goals with ease. The Hardware: Design is outstanding and what you would expect from DJI. The device comes with everything you need to install (no runs to the auto parts store) The power leads are long, I was able to run this from the dash to the trunk of a full size SUV with no issues. The leads are perfectly constructed with heat shrinked and tinned lugs as well as a woven wire loom for protection, wonderful attention to detail DJI. The charge box itself is tough plastic and does fine in a trunk or tool box. There's a single on/off switch but you don't really need to use it, all functions are controlled in the app.Software: You need the DJI Dongle to take full advantage here (it's $25 bucks, just get it). Software can control everything on the charger right from your phone. Charging of the vehicle and charging of the power 1000 can be set individually. You can choose one or the other, for example only output power to the car, or only input power to the DJI. There's also an auto mode where the charger will dynamically decide which side needs power and direct power where needed. Charge voltage can also be set in the app. If you want to charge your vehicle at 14.1 volts, you can set that or if you don't want to charge the Power 1000 until the vehicle voltage recovers to 13.1 you can set that as well. DJI really thought of everything here. Also the charger controls power to the DJI, even when powered off. This is fantastic because you can put everything in the trunk and not have to worry about powering on either device. It will happen automatically.Functionality: The charger does what it claims, it *can* output 1kw (in either direction) to or from the Power 1000. In my case my work truck's alternator could not sustain the 1000w charging power requirement so I needed to upgrade. The charger needs about 70 amps to charge at full power so your mileage may vary if your alternator is not up to the task. If the vehicle can produce enough power, you can fill the Power 1000 up from empty in a little over an hour.I've had my power 1000 hooked to this charger for a couple months now and it's been rock solid, I don't even think about it. My truck battery is always at full charge and the Power 1000 keeps itself charged so it's ready when I need it. At 300 bucks it's a little expensive, but I find that its worth for the piece of mind it provides

Best item for charging in my opinion.
This item is a must have if you use your power 1000 out in the field. The best way is to run the wires from your battery into your vehicle. But if you are like me and choose not to do that you can put jumper cable alligator clamps on the ends and just use it that way. It works fine this way as well. The convenience of having it in your car is better cause then you can charge the power 1000 on the way to an area as you drive. But I'm lazy so I just used the clamp method. But as far as charging your power 1000 it does it fast! I did not time it from low percent to 100% but from about 50% to 100% I swear it took no time. Just be mindful of letting it rest in between discharge and charging. That is what dji manual advises and as you discharge or charge the power 1000 it will heat up and charging battery's too fast after discharging will hamper the life span. Be smart with your batteries and unit!
