SmartyKat Bouncy Mouse Bungee Dangler Plush Cat Toy, Springy Erratic Motion for Batting & Pouncing Fun for Cats & Kittens, Randomly Selected Color, One Size

This cute and soft (part plush, part furry, part rope, and part felt) SmartyKat Bouncy Mouse toy arrived timely from Amazon with another toy, both well protected in a padded envelope. Mine is gray, with pink legs and green hands & feet. Per the reviews the color varies. The thick little head with body together are approximately 3 inches long, and the little dangly legs add an additional 2 inches. If you push the fur close to the body, the toy is approximately 1 & 1/2 inches wide at hips, with the dangly arms each measuring approximately 2 inches on each side. The ring is attached with a knotted cord. At approximately 4.5 inches long, the cord is a little too short to be practical in play with kittens and cats with sharp claws, but could be carefully cut off at the little creature's head if you wanted to remove it. I paid only a couple of dollars for this toy on Amazon, and noted it’s currently being sold at a big box store (W) for the same price. The toy is a gift to be included with others under the tree, so I can’t rate the durability yet, but it appears to be made well. For the reasonable cost, size, cuteness, varying textures, and apparent durability, I have to give this one a rating of 5 stars. If it fails the durability test after gifting, then I’ll edit this review, but it would have to fall apart pretty quickly not to be worth the couple of dollars I’ve invested. A current message indicates shipping in 1 to 2 months, when I click on re-purchase from Amazon, so order with caution if you need it quickly. At the current price, this toy is a good value, so it might be worth it even if you have to wait, and gift it later.

I love that my cat loves this toy. I saw it around Christmas (less than $2.) and it has become my cat's favorite toy. However I have to say that when she gets gifts she knows they are hers and she didn't want me playing with it. It is suppose to be interactive, but she is just fine playing with it by herself. Because the string part is not very long, I have just left it on and it just provides her another way of carrying it. I was a little concern because when she was younger she ate some parts of the toys, but I am happy to say that it still is all in one piece. She carries it from room to room and catches it when I toss it to her. It has made it to the bedroom at night which is another indication of her loving it. I also have a box that has cutouts and when I put it in there, it is one of the first things to be rescued. It is a great item at a great price and was a great find for my cat.

Update (3/12/2020): We bought more to replace the old ones because we adopted yet another kitty right before Christmas. She absolutely adores these toys. Our cats go bonkers over these. They're fairly durable considering how long they survive being mauled by our 16+ lb chonky kitties. They love them. We love the price. Lol! The kitties now have 4 on the tower platform and they're currently being subjected to unspeakable horrors by our newest kitty. 😂 Our kitten goes CRAZY over these! We got him two of these and clipped them up so they dangle from the top of the cat tower we built for them. They positively love these mice! I've affixed two of these now to the bottom of the perch (on top of the scratching post) and he plays with these for HOURS! I am going to grab a few extra - he plays extremely rough with them and the first one is already showing signs of wear from it's heavy useage. They seem decently well made, but don't expect them to stay in good shape for long if your cat is rough with his toys (like ours is). For most kittens, this won't last long, but at the price, who can argue when it provides them with so much entertainment?

My cats favorite toy! She absolutely loves throwing it around and playing fetch with it. It gets so much use that we’ve gotten 4 in the past 2 years.

Cute mouse but the cord is too short. My cat is a “hunter” and 4.5” doesn’t provide enough distance between my hand and her teeth when she grabs the mouse. I ended up cutting the cord and attaching it to the fishing pole instrument.

My cats didn’t care much for the toy, mut after 3 months, it lost its stuffing already. Good while it lasted

My cats haven’t used them as much as I had hoped however, all cat parents know that when it comes to cats nothing is a given. I’ll just keep moving them to different spots and, putting the scent of catnip on them in hopes that they will enjoy them. If not, their still cute danglies for hanging.

I originally found this toy at a local pet store and my three cats didn't really care for it at first (two don't really play with toys and the other just liked other toys more) but when I got my fourth cat she just fell in love. It's easily her favourite toy. Her original one ended up getting pretty ratty (mainly because one of my dogs got it) but she still loved playing with it and still plays with it but I found this online since the pet store wasn't selling them anymore and ordered it and she loves it, my other cat that likes playing with toys loves it as well (I think she likes it because it's not ratty like the other one) and there's been a few times in which the two cats that don't like toys have batted at it or pushed it with their nose, and then walked away, but still. My only critic is that some of the stitching ripped. The first one was understandable because my dogs are quite big and it wasn't made for them but the one I order from here had the one seam rip within days. It was easy enough to stitch back up and me and my family think that maybe the stitch was just bad on that one and quality control missed it but like I said it was an easy enough fix and she's been playing with it for a month now and it looks the same as when we got it. Overall would recommend and will buy again in the future.
