Here, are all episodes of the series that won 26 Emmys, including 4 for Outstanding Drama Series. Hail to chief - and to the creators and stars of this ground-breaking series.

Very good quality
Excellent. So happy to have these to re-visit over and over. I think the info said it was re-packaged (therefore discounted price) so packaging was just a tiny bit flawed, but DVDs are perfect.

Most Intelligent TV Series Ever
The West Wing is arguably the most intelligently written television series ever. Ever! This show is not simply entertainment. It is not simply informative. The dialog in the show provides pops of dopamine directly to the brain in every episode. If you watch this series, you will not only bring these characters into your own life, but you will also regain inspiration in your life. As a society, we have degraded from the days of the West Wing to the conspiratorial House of Cards, to the anarchy being displayed in today's national political contests. For me, watching the West Wing agains restored my faith that there are indeed people who are smart, who want to make the world a better place, and who actually believe that they can do so. We need more of them, even if it is folly to believe that it's possible in real life today. When it originally aired, I did not watch the first few years. This complete DVD collection is insanely great. Not only do we get every single episode, we also get the commentaries, gag reals, etc. I wish that the spines holding the DVDs were a bit deeper to hold the discs in place better, but otherwise, it's a good set (I really wish it were redone on Blu-ray).

Perfect time to watch this amazing series- during the 2020 election! and transition.
The swirl of activity in the White House and the road to get there is overwhelming. The series gives new meaning to the roles of players in and behind the reigns of power and the impact of this crazy quilt of activity on the players and the country. The issues faced and dealt with in 7 seasons of 22 episodes episodes each mirror the "real world" closely and disarmingly. We watched them all, 2 per night. Viewers get a real sense of the impact of anything negative that can be played up by the media and opposing political parties. The omnipresent Secret Service and security (but also loose lips) captures ones attention. The number of people streaming in and out of tight quarters bring home the difficulty and need to determine and keep focus on key priorities. But the true wonder of the series is the quality of the story line by Aaron Sorkin, the writing and acting, and the incredible resources (many real world) used in support. The series deserved all the awards it received. BTW the Special Features are a special added attraction.!

Sometimes we forget how wonderful TV used to be
I can't recall when West Wing was on but the acting, writing, production quality surpass anything we have seen in decades on television. And the boxed set itself is a beautiful gift.

Overall Outstanding
What I liked most:-This was one of the higher-quality programs in the annals of television history, a story of a hero courageously facing many epic challenges. One who has a serious illness on top of needing to deal with a bitterly divisive Congress; one who takes his life's mission of unselfish public service seriously. He is a man of major-league moral standards who must accept with grace the impossibility in his chosen profession of always being able to adhere to ideals. Martin Sheen does a brilliant job in filling the role.-All of the actors have my deep admiration for their superb deliveries, and especially their ability to memorize reams of dialog.-The creators did a most admirable job of research, the team including people who actually filled such roles, such as Lawrence O'Donnell. The political climate portrayed is highly reflective of American political reality, and all the more so today than when the series was made. What I liked least:-The interpersonal dialog and tone of communication was abrasive and confrontational, which seems to be part and parcel of modern filmography; sometimes this works in moderation but it can be overdone.-The rate of verbal delivery was rapid-fire, the characters with speaking roles appearing eager to outdo each other in terms of showing off their knowledge and delivering zingers. Again sometimes this works in moderation but it can be overdone.-The set was advertised as having subtitles (closed captions) in English, which, for this program I needed. Seasons 1-5 had the subtitles in English but Seasons 6 and 7, no English subtitles, only French and Spanish.
