Fabulous artist’s backpack.
This is a fabulous large canvas artist’s backpack for carrying all their wares. High quality and the color is perfect for my ten year old grandson. He is starting to really enjoy drawing, like his mother, so I figured I will support that interest by getting him a large carry bag like this to keep his pads and pencils, sketch paper, and clip board in. I am sure in a couple of months it will be filled with new items and he will want even more. He might even take it when he travels with mom and dad. As long as he keeps drawing, I will continue to fill his large backpack. And this is a terrific one. Very sturdy overall, and the clips and zipper all work well. Plus, it is super versatile. This backpack has a handle on one side for carrying, and the shoulder straps on the other. They put a lot of thought into making this backpack, which I really appreciate. It can organize all the different items, while giving stability, and the nice padding will protect it all. I am very pleased and I know he will love it. Plus, it is a great value for the money spent…even though he won’t appreciate that at ten years old. But I do. Highly recommend.

Where has this been my whole life?
Holy moly! I read the description, SAW the dimensions, and somehow didn't really think of what it would look like. The reviews talked about carrying larger pads and that's exactly why I got it. I'm a fine art student with several studio courses that happen on the same days and it was getting painful and ridiculous to lug around several tote bags, a backpack, and a purse to school. When this arrived, it arrived folded and met my mental picture of what was coming...but then realized it was folded. This thing is massive!! Now let's dive into my review of it in overstuffed use: Pros: - Lots of storage! Lots of pockets! - Top handle (sturdily placed in the upper center of the back for smart weight-distributed lifting) - Side handle (two handles that are padded and can attach to each other) to carry sideways like a traditional portfolio bag. - two adjustable backpack straps What Fits Inside (what's in my bag) - 14x17" Bristol pad (with 7" above it left in the bag) - 11x14" Tracing pad - 9x12" Drawing pad - (2) 9x6" sketchbooks - One standard folder for documents - Macbook Air with large zipper case - Kindle Scribe with case - Clear plastic case with 52 clay tools inside - A large bag of (plastic) terracotta clay - Samsung s20 Ultra, earbuds case - Gallon Ziploc bag FILLED to the top of pencils and markers - Gallon Ziploc bag filled with drawing pencils, erasers, charcoal sticks - Quart Ziploc bag filled with acrylic paint tubes - Clif bars, snacks, 16 oz wide-mouth Klean Kanteen water bottle - Apron, large scissors, painter's tape, snap-off utility blade, 18" metal ruler - 16 oz tub of acrylic medium - My purse (which is about 12x3x8") For the sake of this review, I've removed my bag of clay and electronics and could still fit 5 stretched 16x20" canvases with everything else. I've carried it on my back and it doesn't feel like I'm carrying my entire studio with me lol It fits great. I'm only 5'2 and it doesn't kill me. It's wonderful. I've been using it for a week and so far, so good. No signs of stress on the stitching. I love the color I chose (black). It looks earthy and neutral. It looks like heathered charcoal with a sandy tan olive.

Love this
I wanted a better case for carrying my 18"x24" charcoal and pastel pads for lifedrawing sessions or out and about. I love this case. The main chamber is large enough for 18"x24" paper, which is why I selected this size. It does not quite hold my drawing board, so would have liked it to be just a little larger. My old drawing case had no pockets, so I had my drawing board inside the large main chamber, but had to bring a second bag to tote anything else I wanted to bring. This bag...holds all of my drawing equipment, the largest of the external pockets holds both of my pencil cases with extra room, when I transport it for painting, plenty of room for paint and small pallet. The smaller external pocket holds 4 charcoal tins, plenty of room for paintbrushes if painting. The small flat external pocket with mesh is good for gloves or a rag. The long external pocket holds a small portable easel with no problem. I absolutely love the feature I can wear this like a backpack, my hands are free to carry my drawing board. And love that there is a handle to carry or hang it vertically or horizontally. It's the most handy portable art carrying case I have come across and fairly priced.

Length not accurate.
This is a great idea of a bag and I will still use it. You can tell there is mass production involved here. The zipper is a little crooked and there are tons of extra threads everywhere when you first open it. with some clean up it looks nice. The largest pouch barely fits my 18x24 100 page newsprint sketchpad. It zips up, but there's a little bit of resistance, that pouch needs to be just a tad taller, if it was I would be able to fit both of my sketchpads in there as it is definitely wide enough all around, just not tall enough . I'm not sure where they got the measurement of 26” x 19.5”. Update: I've used it a few times, it has been a life saver for carrying all of my art supplies around the campus. I'd rather lug around this one bag. For the zipper issue, I've just left it open for when I need to have both of my sketchpads with me, otherwise I force the zipper closed when I just have one. Since I've had this bag, two other peers have gotten it as well and they have noticed the same issues, but still use it and don't mind it too much. I think I will be buying extra buckles to create a space for my art board to attach and sew them on. For the price, I like this backpack version more than the other bags I have seen online, in store, and on campus. I noticed an issue about color fading or transfer on other reviews, this khaki one (which is more of a dull army green in person) hasn't had that issue as of yet. I will update if there are any other changes.

Such a good quality product
I was looking for a gift for my partner who is an artist. He wanted to buy a bag that can carry his supplies and papers while he visits studios and galleries. He is super happy with the quality and the pockets.

Best for 4 x 24” ultraportable monitors
Excellent for modern business expert that needs multiple large sized ultra portable screens and laptop and logistical docking station for ultimate portable work station setup. Canvas is strong enough, but the weaving of the arm straps would be better if higher grade materials. Would prefer a thicker leather patching along sides/bottom for extra protection against tears. Would prefer more cushioning liner on inside as added protection for fragile equipment like screens. Over all, best option for 24” dual stacked monitors with extra room for another set and laptop and foldable keyboard, mouse and docking station.

Great size but arrived damaged
I love this bag, it makes it so much easier to carry around all my art supplies, and the large pocket actually fits my 18 x 24in watercolor pad. I do think that the long skinny pocket is not super useful, but I’ve still found art supplies that fit. Main reason for the average review is that it came with a hole along the main compartment zipper, not a huge deal, but irritating for a brand new product. I’ve been using it for several weeks now, and a couple threads are loose on the inside of one of the pockets too. I cut them off and it seems fine, but I think the sewing on this could be better.

Amazing Bag for Art Students!
I'm an art student and I was using a bag with only handheld straps to carry around my supplies but even then, not all of them would fit and I'd have to use a book bag as well. This portfolio case changed all of that. I can fit everything I need in here and more. I have my big drawing pad, 11x17 bristol board, 6+ bottles of acrylic paint (Mostly 4oz bottles), 2 boxes of soft pastels, a pencil box, my laptop, and an iPad in here (Just to name a few things). It doesn't hurt my back and I still have plenty of space. The zippers are sturdy, they don't feel loose or like they're about to fall off. The pockets are deep. There is no fraying in the fabric. The straps are wide and have some really nice cushions, so they're pretty comfortable. Every strap on the bag is adjustable, so you can tailor the bag to fit your needs. The only thing of note is that when I first got the bag none of the prong sides of the buckles were looped all the way through so when I unboxed it, they fell off and I had to find and reattach them. However, that was really easy to do and wasn't too big of an issue. In summary, I truly love this bag. It has checked all of my boxes and I highly recommend it.

Good construction and layout.
I really love the organization, quality and layout of this artist backpack. It carries everything from my art easel to my large bottles of paint, it can also carry big canvases and many of them. Even carries all my sketching pencils in the upper compartment. The handle looks like it would be very comfortable to carry for long periods of time, the padding in the backpack straps looks like it would be very comfortable and nothing digs in. I think all in all its great for anyone that does portraits if the wilderness and nature scenes. It could easily hold clothes and a small amount of camping supplies if that's what you like to do.
