The open space is 6 1/4 inches. You will be happy with this purchase. It looks nice, very sturdy. My feet are a size 7 and it holds 12 pairs of my shoes.

Maybe each of these racks is a little different? The one we got does not have "skinnier" clearances on the lower shelves They are all the same. Maybe we were just lucky. I am not familiar with your brand of shoe. Are they "high tops"? I can say both my husband and I wear size 11/12 shoes, and in Wide, and three pair fit on each shelf. Hope this helps!
