Who installs this? how do i speak to someone ask questions? i ask because i cannot see well

Universal Lifts is different from most stairlift companies. We do not have sales people or installers. We offer only one stairlift for straight run stairs via direct-to-Customer Ecommerce sales only. This is how we are able to offer lower pricing than our competitors while selling a better product.

For that reason, we do not offer installation or recommend installers. We sell all over the United States and simply could not keep up with that many installers and make sure they were good for our customers.

Each customer is responsible for finding a certified or licensed installer in their area. Installation typically takes a qualified handyman or contractor just a few hours with basic hand tools.

Can you get curved rails?

Curved rails are not available on this model of stairlift. Stairlifts with curved rails must always be designed, cut, and measured for the specific installation. They are not 1-size fits most, like our straight run stairlift.

will the seller pre-cut the tracks?

Accepted Answer

No, your local installer is responsible for cutting the track to the appropriate length during installation. Cutting the track takes only a few minutes with simple hand tools.

I need 20 feet of track. How much for 20 feet?

Accepted Answer

The unit ships with 15 feet of track but you can contact us directly to order additional track after you place your order.

Additional track, including all of the required splicing hardware and extended wiring is usually about $450 depending on length and where it is shipping (as of 2022).

For your exact track distance, measure from the bottom floor to the nose of the top stair and then add 7 inches.
