5" Core Vent Cavity Ventilator Anti Draught Terracotta Cowl for Gas Appliances

I bought this as a retrofit replacement for a very draughty 5" vent. I removed the old exterior and interior grills, and was relieved to find that the replacements (and the baffle) fitted neatly into the existing tube, so I didn't have to remove the old tube and fit the new one.If you need to drill a 5" hole, then that's probably something left to an expert, but if you're retrofitting then you might get lucky, like me.With the baffle and vents, the improvement is dramatic. If this is for a gas appliance then the effective area (with baffle fitted) is 75 square cms. This is 50% in excess of the requirement for my gas central heating, but you must check to make sure that the vent will let in enough air for your system. Call a gas engineer in you're in any doubt.

Core drill needs to be 6mm larger than 5’’ !!!!!
