Weruva Wx Phos Focused Tilapia and Tuna Formula in a Hydrating Puree 5.5oz Can, Pack of 8

Strong smell, which cats love, the texture is interesting an almost gel-pate but it doesn't mix with water smooth like a pate would. My cat loved it, that's not saying much though since she's not picky, more notably my roommate's cats all seemed very interested in it and eagerly consumed the spoonful I shared with them, those cats are very picky. While my cat isn't picky, she usually just eats a few bites and leaves, she ate almost the whole can in 1 hour which was surprising for me. Glowing reviews from 4/4 cats in my household.

My kitty had borderline labs at the shelter indicating he may have early or new onset kidney disease. They have two food choices at the shelter: what every gets and k/d Rx diet so they had him on k/d. He wouldn’t eat his Rx diet at home and I think he was actually surviving on a flavored Hydra packet and small nibbles of k/d. I tried this low phosphorus food and he is eating much better. If your kitty has a advanced kidney disease you need an actual Rx diet and this food could be unsafe. I am trying it for my cat because 1) he’s borderline and 2) he gets another round of labs in 6 weeks; if his kidneys are the same or better he’ll continue in this food.

Wish this was a positive review but this product is aweful. Cats won't eat it. They sense it's bad. It's very curious reading positive reviews. My cats should be the target for such a product but neither will touch this stuff. Total fail for a product. I wonder about the safety & quality of it. Wasted money as cats usually have an instinct not to eat products that will makr them ill. Look elsewhere.

Our 18 year old cat has kidney disease and won't eat her prescribed kidney diet food. With the Weruva Low Phos she gobbles it down. We feel good about caring for her kidneys and our cat gets to love the joys of life.

Petmate Kitty Kaps Pet Food Can Topper fits the 3 oz cans. The 3 other lid brands that I had in my drawer did not….. CKD cat initially loved on day one then proceeded to beg for the canned food other cats get. 2 of 3 of my other cats will eat it but prefer their normal brand. Looks and smells delicious to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My cat has kidney disease and hyperthyroidism both require low phosphorus diet. Until I bought this food my baby wouldn't eat anything that was low in phosphorus. He now runs to his bowl every morning and almost always eat it all. Best find ever!!
