High quality, always palatable, no objectionable smells, Low Phos Kitty crack we can barely afford.
This uber-expensive, smooth, luxury mouse-pudding of a cat puree is SOOOO addictive. Now we have to let ALL the members of our pride have some when we feed it to our "Low Phos" patients. It's expensive, not always available, and like kitty crack....apparently. It disappears from the plates before we can even walk the empty can to the sink. It's not only highly palatable to sick kitty, but sadly, EVERONE else! Aside from the economic hit we're taking, WE even enjoy feeding it to them, as it has no strong objectionable smell, and the can is so easy to clean (unlike Dave's low phos - which has the hardest to clean can we've ever encountered). It's got everything one wants in a quality low-phos food....except affordability. Thank goodness Weruva now offers this premium pate in the 5.5 oz cans....we just wish Amazon could keep the 5.5 in stock...so our little spoiled pride doesn't tear out ALL the mill work around the doors, shred the mail, and break things of "comparable value," while they're jonesing for their "drug" and punishing us for giving them ONLY the other "healthy" foods in their usual rotation. (It's as well tolerated to sick cats as that horrible-smelling Rx pate you get from the vet for your cats when they require "hospice" type care....but Weruva's has no objectionable smell to humans that our two sensitive vegan noses can detect). Please Weruva....can you make your kitty crack pate more affordable? Please?

A steady companion to the fragile, steadfast heart of a feline friend.
In the hush of evening, when a cat’s quiet footsteps drift like shadows across the room, Weruva Wx Phos Focused Wet Cat Food offers a gentle solace—subtle, subdued, and crafted with a care that echoes the soft melancholy of the moors. Its formulas, made with remarkably low phosphorus, seem wrought not for indulgence but for tenderness, as though shaped for creatures whose bodies now ask for mercy as much as nourishment. The food settles into the dish with a simplicity devoid of excess, a purity that feels almost pensive. Its natural ingredients whisper of clean sustenance, free from harsh intrusions, as if designed to comfort a feline whose days require quieter strength. The aroma rises mild and sincere—nothing gaudy, nothing false—just a modest invitation that even the most reserved cat may accept. There is a solemn grace in its purpose: not to stir excitement, but to ease the burden of dietary needs without diminishing the joy of mealtime. In offering this fare, one feels not merely the duty of caretaking but something gentler—the wish to protect a beloved creature from the harsher winds of life. Thus, Weruva’s low-phosphorus nourishment becomes a soft covenant of care, a small reassurance in a world often fraught with unease, and a steady companion to the fragile, steadfast heart of a feline friend.

My cat would not eat it
I got this when my cat was struggling to eat. She didn't care for it, but that wasn't too surprising since she was very picky. It did seem like it was good quality though.

Our CKD kitty ate WX with gusto
As our CKD kitty neared the end, she stopped eating the foods she always ate, she had never been finicky before. We were trying everything. I would find a food that she would eat for a while (each time realizing it had less phospherous than its predecessor) until it bothered her too and I would have to find something else. Prescription K/D mixed with water was the last food she gave up on before we stumbled across Weruva WX. Once we found it, she ate the WX with gusto, and actually put a good amount of weight on. WX kept her going for another few months, before she got sick enough to let me know it was time, refusing everything. WX is very expensive, but I wonder if I had found it earlier, the ultra-low phosphate would have bought her even more time. Chicken in hydrating puree was her favorite choice overall. When she got tired of that, the Tilapia and chicken flavors worked for a day or two, then I'd have to cycle her back to the puree. She would also eat the chicken in gravy for a longer period, but the long strands of chicken in it were hard for her to eat, so I'd have to pull them out, chop them up fine, and mix them back in. I had to use the same chopping process on the tilapia flavor. I had to offer small portions of the tilapia, I guess it smelled bad to her fast, she wouldn't eat leftovers later, even if fresh was mixed in with it. She would come back and it the leftovers of either of the chicken-only varieties. Oddly, she flat refused the Tilapia and Tuna flavor every time. I miss her so much

Cats love it! Mix with Ziwi!
Excellent product. I mix it with Ziwi canned cat food to help mitigate the cost of the Ziwi. In addition, it's lower in phosphates (good for the kidneys), and adds water for hydration. Cats love it!

My old man loves this
It's expensive, but my 20-year-old toothless old man has issues with his jawbone, which makes hard kibble a struggle for him, and other wet foods tend to make him vomit. We've struggled with keeping weight on him for the last year, and I tried this when he was really struggling to keep food down. He's never vomited on this, and he devours it. He's eating 3 (to 4) cans a day. It dries out fast if left out, so I feed him half a can at a time. I microwave it 10-20 seconds to heat it, then mash it a bit so it's baby food consistency. Otherwise, it's gloopy like cold gravy, which is unappealing to me (more so than to him), but he seems to like it warmed, but he will eat it cold..

Waste of $. 7 cats wouldn't eat it.
From the reviews I figured it would be a good substitute until Dave's saucey pate with duck was back in stock. One of my 7 is having a dental issue and has a hard time currently with other soft foods. He's also sort of picky. So when I found from trial & error that he loves *Dave's saucey pate with duck* specifically I was going to stick with it. Unfortunately I can't find it in stock anyway. Even the Dave's store. So I thought I'd try this. Out of 7 cats none of them will eat it. Are you kidding me with these reviews? C'mon. I'm ending up putting it out for the oppossums who come by to eat nightly. 🙄 Ridiculous. Honestly, save your money and try something else.

wish it was a mousse but he likes it
my very picky senior kitty likes this food i just wish it was more like a mousse because there's a lot of it he cannot lick he has to lick his food because he only has 1 tooth so half of it is inedible & hes not getting all the nutrients but its very low phosphorus no bad ingredients so that is what he has to live on.

Fantastic food for CKD diet topper
My cat, as per usual, loves this brand! He has stage two kidney disease and sometimes we need a good topper for his renal diet food. It works so well! Very soft for cats with periodontal disease, too!
