Did I receive a bad batch? I tested multiple garden patches and container gardens and they all had extremely acidic results. I was really confused because my plants symptoms show indications of the soil being alkaline.Finally after retesting three times and following the steps instructions obsessively, I tried the strip on the distilled water. Same color. Acid. Now this kind of water can be a bit contaminated by co2 but I’m pretty sure it should be relatively close to neutral ph.I’m pretty upset, I need to buy amendments or fertilizer to help my plants and I would have spent good money based on these false results and ultimately killed my plants dead.I was really excited based on the good reviews and the fact that it tested the nitrogen as well. I think I will spring for a ph meter and hope that does better!

Used this kit to test the pH around my hydrangeas and it worked great! The kit comes with everything you need outside of distilled water. Super easy to use, and the results helped me adjust the soil to get those blue blooms I was hoping for. It comes with many strips so you can keep testing while trying to get the right ph. I'd definitely recommend for any gardener.

Nice product for its price range. The instruction manual is very accurate & it makes it very easy to use. The package is very well designed & includes all necessary tools. The speed of the test is faire, although it takes a bit for the soild to settle so that the water on the top does not have any impurities to cause bias on the Ph level test results. Color bar spectrum for comparision is not very accurate but does the job.

Handy soil tester those of us who want to dig deeper into getting plants to grow better! This kit is quick and easy to use. You do need distilled water for an accurate test, but with that it is super easy to use. It gave me quick and accurate results and now I know some ways I can improve soil quality to hopefully get my garden to produce even better. It has a good guide for plants that grow best in certain types of soils. I like that it has several test strips so that I can continue to test. Overall recommend.
