I use it in bulk like this because sand is a natural alternative weed killer. I keep a small bucket inside the bag so I can easily scoop, then I spread it like nobody's business. It's salty, grainy, has a course texture, and it's a quality product for things that require...yep, you guessed it...salt.

I use this along with vinegar to control weeds naturally.

I buy a big bag of this at the beginning of winter every year, and use it to supplement the horses to increase their water intake through the winter. Recommended by a horse nutritionist to include the iodine in the diet, too. I do transfer it to a bucket with a tight lid so it does not get hard through the winter. Otherwise, it is just salt.
