Easy to use, accurate, and keeps the last four measurements on display
This little gadget is small, inexpensive, yet well designed and easy to use. I used it to measure over a dozen windows before ordering a batch inside-mount blinds. Worked out very well - so much better than struggling with a tape measure! After measuring the width and length of two windows, I could take a quick photo of the screen so that I will have a record of 4 measurements. I should have got one of these years ago ...

Add to your tool box!
I recently added this laser measure to my toolbox, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Its durability is top-notch, with a sturdy build that feels like it can handle heavy use on various job sites. The device is compact yet robust, making it a reliable tool for professionals and DIYers alike. One of the standout features is the backlit display, which allows for easy readings even in dim or dark conditions—a game-changer when working in basements or at night. The brightness and display quality are excellent, providing clear and sharp measurements without straining your eyes.In terms of performance, the laser measure is impressively fast and accurate. It calculates distances, areas, and volumes with speed and precision, making complex measurements hassle-free. I tested its range capabilities, and it consistently delivered accurate results up to the promised 165 feet (50 meters), even in outdoor settings. The inclusion of advanced measurement modes, such as the ability to calculate distance, area, volume, and range, adds incredible versatility to this device. Whether you’re planning a renovation or simply measuring spaces, this laser measure handles it all with ease.Overall, this is a must-have tool for anyone looking for precision and efficiency in their measurements. With its combination of durability, high-quality display, accuracy, and user-friendly features, I highly recommend adding it to your toolbox. It’s worth every penny!

excellent for general measurements
Although most of the time this device was spot-on with its measurements, there were a few times that it was off that I knew I would never use it for critical work, nor would I leave my tape measure home.Recently I planned on measuring all the rooms in my new house, plus all my furniture, for an upcoming move to see what I could take and what had to go. I thought this device would be ideal for this - and it was. It was a breeze to take a quick measurement, jot it down and go to the next (I was hoping I could use the 'save measurement' feature - but found it was not as practical, as compared to just writing the measurement down). I can't say it saved me a ton of time - but it definitely was very handy when working alone for longer distances, say - across the room - compared to trying to find a clear place to set a tape measure down without it snapping. I believe the few times that the device was inaccurate was when it was not perfectly level. It does come with bubble levels, but they are so small that you would be sure to be 'not level' just trying to see the bubbles - so they were almost useless. Some reviewers said they did not like it because you cannot set it to feet and inches or other units of measure; it is very versatile and easy to change the units of measure, as explained in the owner's manual. I did not test it out for any advanced calculations (area, etc.) so I can't be sure how well it does. One of my concerns about using a laser was that I wondered if the light was bright enough, especially from a distance. I never had to measure more than 50', and nothing outdoors - so for that - it was ideal. The red pointer was sharp and bright and easy to see. The one minor problem that I did have was I was hoping to put the hand strap on it so I could hook it to my belt loop. Maybe there was a secret way, but I was not able to run the cord through the slot.Overall, I found it fun to use and it saved a lot of bending down, sitting on the floor, snapped hands - so, well worth the investment!

Incredible Value and Accuracy at this Price Point
This laser really stands up to the big guys! I compared this laser with my Bosch GLM165-27C (an industry standard laser) and was incredibly surprised how close the Mileseey measures to the Bosch. This review includes photos, and you will notice how similar the measurements are. Well within tolerance for this type of measuring tool. I will explain more about my testing later in this review, but for those just looking for a recommendation, I believe this laser will serve any DIY'er or low-profile professional very well for gentle day to day use.Firstly, lets talk about the good things:This laser is easy to read, intuitive to use, has great features, and has a good enough build quality that I wouldn't bat an eye at it for this price. The body is a thin, cheap plastic construction that would likely crack or chip away if it were dropped from any higher than 2-3 ft. I believe it's sturdy enough to be used by your average Joe or apprentice. Don't expect this tool to last long if you're not gentle with your tools! It's no Milwaukee! As for accuracy, the laser is very accurate when compared to a significantly more expensive laser. Not that price truly has any weight on the trustworthiness... I compared this to a Bosch Blaze laser, which in my opinion is an industry-recognized and trusted laser measurement tool. While testing the Mileseey against it, I was seeing very comparable results. Usually within +/- 0.5". That deviance of course is affected proportionately by the distance measured. Get this tool if you don't need laboratory precision, but also can't justify the price of the big boys. Now for some things this laser is lacking:It doesn't have an auto-rotate feature for the display. It is only viewable from the upright position. I wouldn't expect this feature at this price point, but it's worth noting. This laser requires a dimly lit environment, and a relatively reflective surface to shoot the laser on. This does not work well on black/brown surfaces. The ability to reach the advertised 165ft max measurement distance is highly dependent on solid and near-perfect conditions. That is, a reflective (white preferably) surface and dim lighting conditions. This laser does not work well outdoors! You have to hold this laser steady for a long time at longer distances to get a good read. This is also true for the Bosch, but I find it is much more forgiving than the Mileseey. If not held perfectly still at long distances, you may get an error code that I posted in the pictures to this review.
