Powerful, Cold Air – Heavy but Worth It
So far, this unit has been excellent. It cools the room quickly and gets very cold. Because our old windows don’t open (historic building), we had to make our own setup through a door instead of using the window kit, which took some extra work—but it’s running great. Very quiet, I would say it’s around the same loudness level of a normal window unit, maybe a slight bit quieter. The unit is heavy, so I’d recommend having something with wheels or a dolly to move it around more easily. It doesn’t take up much space once in place, and it comes with a remote plus phone app control, which is really convenient. I also like that it has a heating function, so it’ll be useful year-round. We just started using it, so I’ll update if anything changes, but for now it feels like a great purchase.

Disappointing Performance and Unhelpful Support – Not Recommended
I purchased this Midea portable A/C with heat function about two weeks ago, hoping it would help cool a room during warmer weather. Unfortunately, after using it for around 10 days, I've encountered significant issues that have led me to return it. The least of which is how loud this unit is. It's claimed to be around 50dB, but according to my sound meter app on my phone, it registers over 70dB at 10 feet away from the unit when the compressor is running in "cool" mode—far too noisy for comfortable use. The main problem occurred twice, both times when I tried to pre-cool the room remotely via the app. I'd turn on the A/C in auto mode and wait over an hour before entering, expecting a comfortable temperature. Instead, the unit was blowing hot air, actually making the room warmer. The first instance: The room started at 86°F. After running for more than an hour, it had heated up to 92°F. I was able to resolve it temporarily by manually switching to cool mode, but this defeated the purpose of remote control. The second time was worse: Starting at 92°F, after nearly two hours, the room reached 99°F. No amount of troubleshooting got it to blow cold air. When I contacted Midea support, they immediately jumped to blaming the issue solely on the room's initial high temperature—claiming it was simply "too hot" for their unit to handle—without even attempting any real troubleshooting. They didn't ask for details about my setup, suggest any diagnostic steps, or offer solutions like resetting the device or checking app settings. Their only suggestion was to return it to Amazon for a refund, which felt incredibly dismissive and unhelpful, especially for a product explicitly designed to cool hot spaces. (They even asked if the temperatures were in Fahrenheit, as if that could explain away the failure.) Overall, if you're dealing with truly warm conditions, this unit seems unreliable. The app integration is a nice idea but falls short when the core function fails. I'm returning it to Amazon and suggest looking at other brands for better reliability and support.

Great portable air conditioner .
It’s so easy to setup . Not only does it have cool & dehumidify but also heat . The cooling efficiency is impressive, it quickly lowers the temperature in my living space. The adjustable fan speeds allow for customized comfort, and I’ve found that it can cool a room much faster than other unit I’ve used in the past . It’s so quiet , I can easily hold conversation or watch TV without needing to crank up the volume . As a portable unit , it’s easy to move from room to room . The wheels glide smoothly, make it simple to transport between space as needed. I’ve got to set up the App on my phone that I can control it from anywhere now . The air conditioner is sleek and modern, fitting well with my home decor. Love it .

Nice substitute for a window unit
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I am familiar with this brand and they seem to have a decent reputation Ease of use: The installation instructions were a bit vague, but once I figured them out, it was relatively easy to get the unit to work Size: Fits nicely in our relatively small bedroom Functionality: Works well -- most of the time. Once in a while is appears to get "confused", but a simple restart alleviates the issue

Powerful, Quiet, and Versatile – A Must-Have!
This Midea portable air conditioner truly exceeded my expectations! It cools quickly and runs quietly, making it perfect for both daytime use and a comfortable night’s sleep. In addition to powerful cooling, it also features dehumidifier, fan, and heating modes—making it a versatile, all-season appliance. Installation was a breeze and took only a few minutes. Controlling it is super convenient with the remote or via voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant. The design is sleek, the build quality is solid, and overall, this has been one of my most satisfying appliance purchases. Highly recommended!

Worth to buy
I have switched all my window AC to midea and was very satisfied of this brand. This is my second portable AC. I would say, compare to its own window unit, it is not as quiet. However, compare to my other portable AC, this one has lower noise and fast cooling. Machine itself is durable and heavy, however, with the wheels, it is easy to move in the same floor. Easy function, however, I never use the smart app, remote control is good enough for me. The only thing bothers me is the condensed water, I really need to put the hose into a basin to drain water out, otherwise it would not make the coolness. I hope midea can give a longer hose, so I can just connect it to the window. This is a worth to buy portable AC.

2 separate units, both leaked immediately all over my floor
This air conditioner/ heater system is NOT worth the money. We bought one,cit leaked and made horrible shaking noises within ten minutes of turning on. Called Amazon and got a replacement sent. Amazon customer service was good. They scheduled UPS to pick up the defective one as these are very heavy. Got the replacement and it did the exact same thing. My husband called the manufacturer directly to see if they could troubleshoot. They basically wanted us to get another replacement. We gave up with this brand and sent it back and bought another brand....a hundred dollars cheaper, and this new one works MUCH BETTER than the Midea brand. Don't waste your money

Good enough. Not great
Louder than you might be led to believe from the ad but close to what you might expect if you have used these type of systems in the past. Power hungry. Threw my breaker a couple times. Ok deal for the money.
