This thing cuts foam like butter!!! I bought it to carve foam blocks to make Halloween decorations and it worked AMAZING! it heats up in seconds. The wire is kind of flimsy and breaks easy but they include a whole roll for you.

Cut through 1” styrofoam like butter! I was able to cut cursive letters with ease for a parade sign. I’ve never used a hot knife so I don’t have anything to compare it to but it worked great for me!

So far so good, the best hot wire foam cutter I've ever used in 15 years of foam carving. I used to use woodland scenic's but getting replacement wire was such a pain, having an extra spool of additional wire come with this as well as a travel bag with different attachments is just an added bonus. Unbelievable heat on the end of the wire so please take huge precaution.

It does its job, A LITTLE TOO WELL! I CUTS FAST AND CLEAN. Unfortunately I am new to what I am doing and I cannot use it. Maybe when better trained!

Received a used product with burnt residue stuck to it. Tried out the only wire with no residue and heat was extremely hot to the point that it started to smoke.

Heat's up really fast and easy to use.
