VTS-989 Stun Gun for Self Defense Rechargeable with LED Flashlight

I am pleasantly surprised at how protective this stunning case is! First, it’s super pretty. I love the snake skin pattern with the mirror underneath. Second, it has amazing protection for my phone. It has precise cutouts that fit my buttons exactly. It’s not too big and bulky, so my phone stays sleek and small and thin. I’m very happy with this case. I would absolutely buy it again and I recommend it!

This stun gun is the real deal. I'm pretty satisfied with it. I hopefully never have to use it to defend myself but, I have it as a deterrent at the very least. I like how it doesn't feel cheap, it's got a soft, rubberized plastic feel to it. I like that it has a very intense flashlight and a trigger in the form of a rocker switch. You press the switch with your finger to get sparks flying but, once you're ready for things to fizzle out, just let go of the red switch and it automatically snaps back into the off position. Two things I dislike are the fact that it hasn't been upgraded to charge using a USB-C cable, despite its smaller variants utilizing USB-C...and I'm not that thrilled with the power switch. It seems like it would be far too easy to accidentally turn the device on and potentially shock yourself. Something else to keep in mind is that the metal going down the sides of the device are able to zap you when it's powered off. It happened to me one time only so far but it surprised me more than it hurt...which makes me wonder whether there was some residual power in the stun gun after I turned it off. Just be careful not to touch any of the metal components on this thing, even when its not turned on. The case that comes with this stun gun is not very high quality, it's thin and it has an open design which makes it too easy to potentially shock yourself with the stun gun. I searched around and ended up purchasing one from another company that I recommend because it fits this stun gun perfectly and has a closed design plus higher quality nylon. Taser sounds very powerful it's loud. Works great and the flashlight is useful I can imagine (haven't needed to use that.) Charged and bought this over a month ago and it's still ready to zap, battery hasn't drained or anything. Worth the purchase and relatively cheap. Edit; 5/17/2023; Taser still works great; I still have not needed to charge it since I bought it. I have used the flashlight on it many times it is very convenient. I also test the taser anytime I go for a late night walk, so I am very surprised that I have not needed to recharge the battery. I first bought this product on August 25, 2022. I highly recommend this taser after nearly a year of reliable use. This product was the first taser I've ever purchased and I feel as if I made the correct decision. Edit; 6/2/2023; Still haven't needed to charge it, amazing. For the first time since I've purchased it me and my brother tested it on ourselves. We both took a turn testing it on the left "cheek". We only did a very short burst/zap and goodness, you can tell if it had gone on for a second, even two it would have made me fall down/the legs go out. It felt as if I got a big prick on the cheek but a prick that makes you go forward like a cartoon saying "YOOOOUCH". it left a red spot the size of about 3 quarters put together which went away within the hour. I can personally say this would make a person think twice, even if they had a melee weapon. We took all safety precautions, and since I haven't charged it since I purchased the taser it most likely wasn't the full effect. And I had pants on, do not try this on yourself, and be safe fellas. Edit 7/17/2023; Finally have to charge it but I lost the charger It's been so long. Gonna have to find out what chord it uses to get a new one. Still a good product. Edit 6/22/2024; Got a charger a few months back, taser still working great.

Have never actually used the stun gun, but it seems to pack a punch and makes lots of noise! That alone would scare someone out of their wits! The flash light works very well, bright. It is easy to hold and grip. The case to hold the stun gun is flimsy and does not hold up. Will have to buy something else to keep it in when carrying it around with me. Other than that, so far so good!

Fits the hand like a glove, the safety features for this was made with perfection and this little guy is exactly what I expected it to be! The light is bright enough, especially since no one bought this to use as a flashlight, and there is a red light indicator that lights up so you know it is ready to "zap". I bought this simply because we are in an odd time as far as public safety goes. As a female living in California, I like to walk around and feel safe. I have experience in self defense tactics and have no problems using what I know if it ever should come to it. But there are times when you question just how good the things you have learned will be good enough. Especially if I'm alone. Shortly after I purchased this item, I had a little "issue" in a Walmart parking lot, and I actually forgot that I had this on me! I was able to get the man to back down and see that I was "not an easy target", and after making it home safely without incident (except some LOUD choice words from my end), it was only then that I realized I had weapons on me. (whoopsie). I am writing this review now because I recently took this out while I was watering my back pasture and accidentally forgot to turn the unit completely off. I used the flashlight to find the stupid nozzle that I dropped. Well I bent over & gave myself quite the UNPLEASANT zap. All I can say is this thing is tiny but MIGHTY powerful. I don't know if I will ever use this on someone, but God help THEM if the day ever does come!! I read the "instructions" on the manufacturers website & let's just say that I'll gladly follow instructions then quickly be back on my way! In today's day, a girl my size can never be over prepared, and I would rather have options than feel limited. (I wouldn't recommend trying this on yourself in advance!! I can promise the biggest man that even he would regret that decision!) As I'm writing this I am expecting 2 more to arrive tomorrow :)
