Very sturdy and simple to use.
I have gone through so many of the gimmick line spooling tools. Where theirs were week this one dominates. Very sturdy base and you set the tension. Unless it somehow breaks it is the last line tool I will own.

Easy and Stable Way to Spook Fishing Line
This is a better device (in my opinion) than the more awkward gizmo I bought that’s shaped like a candy cane from Piscifun. This version sits nicely on a tabletop and lets me adjust the spool tension as I load up the reel. The instructions in the back are somewhat lacking, however, at least for spinning reels. It doesn’t mention anything about the other groove in the base that’s available. It seems that it’s meant to orient the spool of line pointing towards you, which some online have said is necessary when loading up a spinning reel (with the line coming off the spool counterclockwise to avoid line coiling). I can’t confirm that that is how to do it, since the instructions don’t say. But it’s dead easy for a bait caster. Overall, if you’re an avid fisher person, I think this is a solid buy! It also has a little depression in the middle to house the optional reel unspooler Berkley sells.

Worked for me
Works great. The only thing wish they would made where you could tighten the fishing line a little more. You can figure it out on your own how to get tight though

Easy to use, compact, brilliant
Bought to replace one I had that someone borrowed and never returned. This is a great little tool for respooling line quickly and easily. I managed to respool 2 baitcasters and a spincast using 110 and 330 yard line. It is small enough to throw in your tacklebox in case you need it by the water. For the price these are currently at Amazon I can't recommend enough - I might even buy a spare in case someone ever 'borrows' mine again!

It works
Love it ! I’ve did 8 reels this wk. I’m looking for more . l think it works Great! I would recommend it highly . Very easy to do just center up spool put a little tension on it and crank. This so easy to use. Now I will put new line on more often. Can’t say enough about this little machine. Thank you it works.

Inserts for the set screws WILL fall out.
These are made cheaply. Not as good as they used to be. The insert for the set screw is not glued or fastened so when you loosen the set screw to out the spool of line on the small metal insert will fall out of either end. They did not used to be this way. I sent the first one back thinking it was a mistake. I got the replacement and same situation. I epoxied both inserts it and it’s fine, but expecting everyone who buys this to figure that out is ridiculous. Make sure sure to inosckage this item in a space where you can find things that fall on the floor.

Great for the price.
The line Spooler does a good job. Spooled 12 reels in no time. Was easy to set spool tensioners. I don't believe you could find a better Spooler for the money.

Mini Line Spooler from Berkley
I purchased the Mini Line Spooler from Berkley to add to my other devices I've acquired to spool fishing line and backing onto my reels. The cost of $4.96 with free shipping for Prime members when buying this Add-on Item makes this little plastic line tool worth it to have. It easily attaches to the rod, and then tightened down with the line spool mounted on the Screw assembly to begin reeling on the line. Be sure to add the proper amount of tension to assure a good tight wind, especially at the start to make the bottom layers lay tight on the spool of your reel. Avoid the automatic line guide when you do add line, as it will bunch the line onto the center portion of the reel. Just guide it on with your fingers to make sure it lays on the reel even from side to side to avoid problems. The guide on reels is fine for fishing, as you usually use the last 30 to 40 yards casting and retrieving, which is then put on toward the center of the reel spool while fishing, which doesn't much affect the entire line on the reel in this regard. Good fishing.
