Being widowed it’s often a challenge to do some things that are easy with a second pair of hands.This is a simple idea but so effective. Having just had a new hard floor laid I wanted to lift the sofa to put pads underneath to avoid scratches. I could barely lift the sofa and getting the pads underneath was impossible.This tool enabled me to lift the sofa and get the pad in place without damaging the sofa, floor or myself. Doddle and not need to wait for someone to give me a hand.Highly recommended.

Unfortunately I did not read the enclosed instructions and pushed the four gliding aids under the wooden stubs of a heavy sofa, and with the plastic side uppermost over the black-and-blue foam pads, on first use.. Inevitably, the wooden stub sofa legs slid off! In an earlier review I recorded this as a design fault. Now I've read the instructions and learned the plastic fittings are for sliding over carpet, with the foam pads to be used on their own on hard floors. A well-thought-out tool. The instructions could have been clearer but at this price the gadget is useful and a bargain.

Purchased primarily to use the lever for moving a washer dryer. Trial & error to ascertain the correct position for the black wheels to get the right leverage but overall a very successful & useful purchase. I didn't use the pads as not suitable for this purpose (used sliders instead). Just needed to lift the machine enough to get the sliders under the machine. Worked perfectly and machine back under a fixed kitchen worktop. Job done and very useful tool for use again.

Definitely helps lift things, didn’t particularly help moving them though.I can see that the moving pads will definitely help with carpet, no qualms there. The description is misleading though. It describes the black part of the handle as a wheel, actually it is not a wheel because it doesn’t turn. So when I tried to move the washing machine over my tiled floor, it left black marks along the tiles where the ‘wheel’ was scuffing the floor instead of turning.

Its quite sturdy to lift plant pots in the garden to allow a mobile pot plant stand to be wheeled under them ( My wife decided she wanted some mobile plant pot stands to easily move her ( quite heavy) pot plants around the garden) I was volentiered by Her to to make some and your lifting tool seems to do the job very nicely thank you.

I am very disappointed. I bought pads in the last to help me move things but these are the worse I’ve seen. Very thin and no grip on top so when you push your furniture, the pad stays where is it and the furniture glide on the foam part. It should be the opposite.The tool to help you lift works ... once you manage to slide it under your furniture. And do not try it on composite wood like ikea furniture. It will break it!There are much better product out there. This is not worth the money

I ordered this to move a very heavy bedroom wardrobe. Getting the lifting tool was my first challenge as the wardrobe was heavy, but once I had done that, the lifting tool did its job. It did surprise me as the wardrobe was exceptionally heavy. The sliders, however, due to the weight of the wardrobe, the dark blue bits were fine when we moved the wardrobe initially, but came off after moved the wardrobe back. I had to buy other sliders, which were better for the weight of the wardrobe. Overall, not disappointed, I think the weight of this large wardrobe was possibly near its maximum usage factors - so be wary of that. Would recommend

I use this alot for lifting furniture. Not to lift the whole chair but to lift a corner for putting removing things under the feet of chairs

I wanted something to help lifting a heavy sofa after vacuuming so I could place the carpet back into its proper position underneath the front legs of the sofa. The tool is very awkward to use, the wheel does stay in place so it's useless for leveraging, and the handle is too short so you have to bend or kneel down. For some reasons I thought because of the leveraging it would be easier to lift the front part of the sofa with the tool rather than lifting the sofa with my hands - it's not, it requires the same level of effort.There are pros: the tool feels very durable (except for the wheel) and the handle is very comfortable and provides a good grip.
