Logitech Harmony Replacement
I have been using my Harmony 880 remotes for the last 20 years. I don't do macros/activities, just using it to replace 4 IR remotes. Now that the Logitech support website is gone, I need a backup in case my remaining six 880's all die ...The good news: U2 is pretty easy to setup. The database had my LG TV and my OPPO disc player. It did list my Storm pre-pro, but the codes did not work. I was able to just have the remote learn the 9 IR functions from the Harmony in 15 minutes as it is MUCH easier than a Harmony. IR strength is decent, just not as strong as the Harmony, but it gets the job done. The not good: The screen selects the remote you want to use and the generic keypad is not really useful in many cases. So I did a spreadsheet as a cheat to let me know which of the 9 number buttons does what I want. I suspect that if I do have to use it exclusively, I would memorize them pretty quick. Also, uses AA batteries instead of rechargeable. If a new model uses rechargeable, I will buy that. In the meantime, I will just use my AA rechargeable, which is a tiny hassle as the battery compartment is a bit of a pain to open.Note the trend is to wifi control of the component's webpage. For the Storm pre-pro, world class UI. For the LG, pretty lousy. And for the OPPO 203, non-existent. Possibly the future will have a phone app at the level of the Storm webpage, but for now, the U2 works pretty well for a cheap price.

Great for Tech Challenges Parents!
For anyone with an older parent (or who is just generally bad with technology) - this remote is a lifesaver. You can not only custom program every single button, including mixed use between devices without switching - but you can also turn buttons off completely to avoid any confusion or accidental presses. My mom used to lose volume, get lost between tv, soundbar and cable, etc. It was a weekly thing. Since I got this for her and programmed it, she hasn’t had a single issue. Fantastic product.

Replaced harmony 650 effortlessly
I have a harmony 650. Over time some of the buttons stopped working. I've been able to program around it, but now some of the numeric keys are almost impossible to press. Can't program around it. So I bought this. Wasn't sure about it. Thought I may have to compromise on some things. I thought I could easily return it if it didn't work out, so no risk. It was really easy to setup and I can do everything I could do with the harmony. I added my LG OLED, Yamaha receiver, fios cable box, roku and samsung uhd player. I just had to find them and they were all there. Next I had to change the volume up/down to change the Yamaha receiver up/down on the fios box, roku, and uhd player. No problem. Was very easy. Then I had to setup macros so when I select roku and hit the green button, the yamaha receiver and TV turn on and the yamaha input is set to av5. Again, very simple macro to setup. I setup a macro for the red button to turn everything off. I repeated for the fios box and uhd player. So if I want to watch something on fios, I scroll the wheel to fios and press the green button. Everything turns on and the input on the receiver is set. When I'm done, I press the red button and everything turns off. I set the e button to DVR and the home button to guide. Again very simple. Took maybe 30 minutes to set everything up.

Great Universal Replacement Remote
I wanted to give the remote 4.75 rating, but am limited to a 4 or 5.I’ve been using the Sofabaton U2 for a few several days, and I’m really impressed. Setup was surprisingly easier than I thought — just install the app, follow a few steps, and I had it controlling my TV, receiver, and dvd player in no time. The app does a good job of walking you through things, so even if you're not super tech-savvy, it’s pretty stress-free.A really nice feature of this remote is the huge library of supported devices. I was able to connect it to some older equipment I thought would be a pain to configure, but the remote handled it effortlessly. Once everything was paired, switching between devices was smooth and responsive.Another nice feature is the backlit buttons. It’s such a small thing, but it makes a big difference when you’re watching something in a dark room. No more pressing the wrong button or grabbing your phone to use it as a flashlight.Overall, the remote feels really good in your hand, and the button layout is intuitive. I do worry about the duty cycle of the center round button as I use it a lot so time will tell. It’s clear Sofabaton put some thought into the design. The one downside—and the reason I knocked off a star— is that the app doesn’t offer a way to back up your remote settings. So if you lose or replace the remote, you’ll have to start from scratch. That’s a bit of a hassle for a product that’s meant to make life simpler.Still, for the price and the features you get, I think the Sofabaton U2 is a fantastic option for consolidating all your remotes into one.
