Great value!!! Waterproof. Comfortable.
Reviewing NORTIV 8 Men's Safety Toe Boots - Fortress - Brown:I do trail building many hours every week and I an very rough on my boots. I use my feet like a rake and tamper all the time to grind and shape the dirt as I work. So my boot do not last very long. I have went through many name brand boots that are pretty expensive. I have also had some cheaper boots that hold up amazing and are more comfortable than the expensive ones. That is why I was willing to try these.Wow, so far they are great! They were not bad to break in, only had a little rubbing on upper ankle which after two days of work went away. After a week of using these every day, I went ahead and ordered another pair I was so impressed of quality and value.I really put them through the test on the waterproof part and they shined on that surprisingly. (not normal for me, my other pair of "water proof" by another brand did not fair as well admittedly they were older.I hate the sole on some name brand boots when they are like a board stuck to the bottom of the boot with sharp edges. I never buy a boot that has that type of sole anymore. That is all they used to ever provide at work and I used to marvel at how stupid those soles were as that slipped on oil like crazy and where hard to walk in and became detached from the boot. They is why I like the soles boots like this have which are rubber and integrated with the boot body and have not silly sharp edges and are easy to walk in and have great grip. They do have a very strong toe box with I guess steel in it....but I can not feel the cold metal with my feet as there seems to be a ton of padding in these boots. I also like that they fit pretty wide and give my feet a lot of room without feeling squirmy and getting blisters. I think it is because the ankle is held so well.I was prepared to have to buy shoe laces after reading other reviews. I did note these are shorter than other boots I had. But for me they were perfect. I actually like the shorter ones better and I am able to tie a double knot that does not come undone all day and I don't have floppy strings hanging down.

Good quality and comfort
These last a good 6- 7 months. And I'm in construction. The price is right and they are very comfortable. I'm on my second pair now and I recently got another.great quality indeed

very comfortable and protective
I like these Nortiv 8 boots. They seem to be a la par of my other shoes from this company, excellent.I do have two details to mention: they are advertised as Hook and Loop, I assumed some kind of Velcro, but none to be seen. It does have metal hooks. Is that what is described? Who knows? The other minor issue is they are advertised as leather. I am not sure if it correct. They look like synthetic to me. Does anyone knows? The reason that I care is that I protect my leather shoes with neatsfoot oil and Beeswax, that is not appropriate for synthetic boots. For synthetic boots I usually protect them with silicone products.

Waterproof, but slippery when wet.
I love these boots. I work with many puddles and these shoes prove to be waterproof. The only complaint I have is they're very slippery when wet and on a hard service. But, since I work mostly outdoors or on concrete these boots are perfect.

Very comfortable boots! Would buy again!
Very comfortable but starting to come apart at the bend in the toe area. Really comfortable but treat them with kiwi if you work in wet environments
