The StatQuest Illustrated Guide to Neural Networks and AI: With hands-on examples in PyTorch!!! Paperback – January 6, 2025

This book is a game-changer for neural networks and AI enthusiasts. It takes a revolutionary approach to teaching, presenting complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner. The book is filled with colorful diagrams and illustrations that make learning accessible and enjoyable. I’ve read several other books, but this one stands out. It’s not a beginner’s guide, but once you grasp the early concepts, it takes you to a whole new level of understanding. I will give it 10 stars if I could.

I wrote the book (so, of course, I'll give it 5 stars), but I'm writing this review to address a review that appears to be confusing people. The book is full illustrations, some of which are quite elaborate. However, in order to focus the readers on specific aspects of an illustration, I intentionally make the other parts of it more difficult to see. This allows people to maintain a sense of the context within which the specific aspects exist, but without being distracted by it too much. I've posted an image to illustrate this technique and hope that this helps people better understand that some times things are difficult to see clearly by design, rather than due to printing problems.

A bit more complicated than the earlier book, which I recommend first.

Truly the best, most insightful explanation to Deep Learning without feel overwhelmed. This book is especially great for visual learners!

Great books based off of YouTube series. Very well explained super insightful for learning the underlying concepts of AI/ML.

This book is amazing for the visual learner! I've taken numerous online classes that use animated videos to explain deep learning concepts visually, but this book accomplishes the same thing in print! I've also purchased deep learning books with pages and pages of formulas and hardly any illustrations. My brain can't process symbolic math without a picture. Kudos on creating something truly unique and super valuable.

The colors do not show properly in my paperback copy, and a lot of places it is unreadable, as the text is very faint.Big fan of Josh, and hoping to get my hands on a properly printed copy soon.
