Nokia Lumia 830 Orange Factory Unlocked GSM - International Version

* Summary * the hardware is good, but certain critical apps needed for a person living in China aren't stable and cause the phone to behave erratically. If you live in the states and use windows for work or home, go for it no questions. If you live abroad, test it out and see if the app ecosystem is dependable!I use a windows workstation and wanted a phone for work to help access the information I need out on the job. This phone is faster than the predecessor lumia 520 I owned so I'm grateful for that. Skype works fine, and accessing cloud drive (business and personal) is easy and fast enough. Cortana hasn't been amazing yet, but she has come in useful reading text messages and making appointments in my calendar hands free. I've already dropped it from about 1.5 meters and it held up so it meets the durability test (one drop only so far!).Also, Here Maps are great and anything related to Here in general (driving directions, public transport)! I think that's a big selling point for the phone (thanks Nokia!)My real disappointment with the phone that makes me give it 3 stars instead of 5 is that it can't run WeChat (the main social app in China) as fast as iOS! (I haven't tried an Android for comparison). When I use WeChat, it frequently cuts out, freezes, alters the sound/microphone settings, and overall just makes the phone unstable.If WeChat worked, I would give it close to 4 stars~~~ If other apps that are frequently used in China were to work more seamlessly with the phone, I would give it 5 stars!

The shipment arrived in 3 weeks -- a week earlier than specified when i placed the order. It was packed well and looked authentic -- really brand new and not a pre-owned one. The battery was taped where it meets the contacts to prevent discharging prior to use. So one has to remove the small cellophane tape and the phone is good to go.I've had it for a little over a week on T-mobile. So far it looks to be in good order -- a great, sleek looking and feeling phone with a very fine finish. I've seen no problems in the display, speed or over heating. However, the battery consumption appears to be higher than I expected. I'm a light user of the phone, using it only for the occassional phone call -- one every 2 days, very rare texting of short 1 line messages, the HERE maps and email. Yet, it uses up 35% of the battery in a day! I can't tell that the display resolution is not high; i don't play games or watch streaming video. The response of the phone is fast and the touch quite sensitive. The Apps available are sufficient for my daily and projected use.So I'm so far happy with this phone. I hope I continue to remain so.

Beautiful phone for a low price, camera is a lot better coming from iphones and recently the nokia lumia 630. Large screen and thin size is awesome. Works with cricket wireless which is a GSM network. Very satisfied with the 830. only thing i dont like was that the charger was for foreign outlets so they had to include a travel charge adapter just so it would work with the normal outlets so it takes a lot of space for a charger but i just use my old 630 charger with the 830 and it still does fine other than that its a great phone

No LTE, but wife doesn't know the difference, and no noticeable degradation as a result. Comes out of the box in Chinese (Hong Kong locale) language (you can change it to English) and with a Chinese e-reader app that you cannot remove (part of phone ROM image). Charger is also Hong Kong style, you will need a US usb charger adapter to charge in US. Wife loves the phone, came from iPhone 4. Good deal.

Excellent phone apps need improvement

It works well and my nephew who is using it is crazy about all the interface he is enjoying on it! He said to me: "aunt I love this phone very much and it's the best I have ever had!"

En primer lugar vengó de un nokia 930 el cual acabó en el agua para mi desgracia .compre este móvil dado que la diferencia en precio al 930 es grande , he de decir que quitando la pantalla y la cámara del 930 lo demás es exactamente lo mismo incluso detalles como micro sd y el glance lo engrandecen ,para mi gusto creó que va mejor que el 930 o por lo menos esta mejor optimizado incluso app como wassap funcionan mejor y con más utilidades , francamente hoy por hoy me volvería a comprar este ates que el 930 y eso que considere que el 930 fue el mejor móvil que tuve pero os aseguró que por este precio merece más la pena este incluso la batería dura más ,al que le guste windows phone que no se lo piense es una gran compra

Llevo un año con este smartphone y a pesar de que al principio estaba algo decepcionado sobretodo por el tema de las Apps, que por lo general son más escasas y peores que las de las otras plataformas -Androit e IOs-, después de su actualización a Windows 10 debo decir que el dispositivo ha ganado muchísimo con la nueva interfaz, las actualizaciones de las Apps nativas de MIcrosoft y las sincronizaciones con los demás dispositivos con Windows 10. Ahora estoy más satisfecho con la compra.

Windows phone como sistema operativo me ha gustado mucho, el terminal es una pasada para las especificaciones que tiene respecto a un android de precio similar, soporta redes wifi 5ghz y su camara con lente carl zeiss hace fotos buenisimas, los peros que a windows phone le queda un añito todavia para intentar llenar de aplicaciones importantes su store, tambien el terminal me dio un par de problemas a nivel de pantalla.En brillo automatico en zonas oscuras la pantalla parpadeaba, y le salieron dos manchas claras en la parte inferior, por lo demas un terminal de 9 para el precio al que lo compre 254€, amazon una vez mas de 10 permitiendome gestionar la garantia del producto.

Ich habe den Handymarkt lange durchsucht und mich letztendlich für das Lumia 830 entschieden, da ich mal etwas neues ausprobieren wollte. Dazu muss ich sagen, dass mich kein Smartphone wirklich begeistern konnte, wenn man nicht zu tief in die Tasche greifen möchte. Natürlich war ich etwas skeptisch, Windows auf dem Handy, ob das gut zusammen passt? Als das Lumia 830 geliefert wurde, war ich positiv überrascht, es wirkte sehr hochwertig und lag gut in der Hand. Vom Optischen wirklich top! Ebenso die Geschwindigkeit und das Handling des Smartphones fielen positiv auf. Allerdings kamen mit der Zeit immer mehr Kritikpunkte hinzu: Die Kamera schoss keine guten Bilder, der Appstore ist noch lange kein Vergleich zum Androidstore und am schlechtesten die WLAN Reichweite. Mit dem geringen Angebot im Appstore oder der weniger guten Kamera hätte ich sehr gut leben können. Doch das Lumia 830 schafft es teilweise kaum eine WLAN Verbindung zum benachbarten Router aufzubauen. Hier muss definitiv eine Verbesserung her.Alles in Allem trotzdem ein gutes Smartphone, dass in der Mittelklasse oben mitspielen kann.

La entrega por parte de Amazon correcta y un dia antes del tiempo estimado.En lo que toca al producto , estoy encantado con el telefono , vego de LG G3 con Andrid y me parece increible que un telefono de gama supuestamente inferior sea mucho mas premium que el de gama alta , el acabado del nokia es perfecto y realmente bonito y original , muy agradable en mano y se me hace ligero.Por lo que toca al sistema , estoy encantadisimo en los dias que llevo con el , que venga de un G3 y no haya notado nada en rendimiento dice mucho , y aunque en el G3 fuese muy rapido acusaba algun lag , que en este de momento y con todas mis aplicaciones ya en uso no he tenido en absoluto , con lo que respecta a las aplicaciones , no echo nada en falta , tengo todas las que uso habitualmente en android y alguna sorpresa me he llevado por encontrar alternativas mas de mi gusto y con mejor desempeño
