Mele & Co. Dana Faux Leather Jewelry Box in Black

I used this holder during my last 2 week trip to the Southwest (Nevada, Arizona, California). It was compact & convenient for my rings (10-12) and pendants (15-20) in the lower compartment. I used a paper backed bubble wrap cut to the size of the compartment behind the mirror to hold my earrings (~15). The size is easily packed in checked luggage with costume jewelry, but I carried it in my carry on for security. It occupied minimal space in my bag. During my trip everything was organized & it fit easily into the hotel room safe. There are no locks on the box so securing in the safe worked well leaving ample room for other valuables. I wouldn't recommend for gold/silver necklaces. Instead I purchased necklace folders on Amazon which worked perfectly without them getting tangled or damaged. For me this was a great buy and is compact for transport. Kept my gold jewelry safe, separated and organized. The ring section is well padded and I used small sections of bubble wrap in the other compartments without padding. The dividers weren't well secured and movable with pressure but this was a minor issue and could be remedied with a little glue. I found the mirror unnecessary but a nice detail. It's light weight & the faux leather exterior looked & felt almost genuine.

I like this little jewelry box as it is just the right size and protects the jewelry I take on trips. It's not too big not too small and has partitions for earrings and slots for rings as well as an upper section where you can put bracelets, etc. The one downside is that it's a little hard to tell when it's shut which part is the top and which is the bottom and I opened it upside down a couple of times making a mess. I put a heart sticker on the top half to solve this problem and that worked perfectly.

I was always disappointed in the way my jewelry traveled. It got tangled, hard to find in pouches, etc. I just received this box and am finally pleased with the size, the zipper closure and the organizational layout. I don't leave my jewelry in hotel rooms, so the box has to be small enough. But, this is really nicely made and designed. The square shape makes it easier to pack. Also, the dividers come out, so bracelets can be accommodated. I put my stud earrings in the ring sections, and there is ample room for that. There is a mirror and a pouch. Wonderful purchase, highly recommended. I have other Mele boxes - the bigger ivory one is primo, got 2 of them!

Been using this for a few years now, has held up great. My only difficulty is having a hard time knowing which side is up to keep my earrings from falling out.

Zipper seems fragile as well as the inside compartments. I doubt this would hold up for travel. I did put a sticker on one side as reviewers mention it helps so you know which side is up when you open it up. This would be great if you just left it on a dresser otherwise already shows lots of wear from one trip.

Very Happy with this jewelry box! Looks more expensive than it is! I loved this for my travel jewelry case. It has a small mirror in it, and a detachable drawstring bag for special jewels. The sections divider also comes out if you need to use the space for larger watches or bangles bracelets (this is what I did). I love it. I actually bought two... highly recommend. ( BTW- my husband is the name on this account, I am female) :)

This is very small and doesn't hold much. I ripped out the ring section to give more room because I don't travel with 8 or 10 rings. There's a little bag for I don't know what, velcroed at the top, which is more or less useless and a weird use of the limited space. I also discarded that. I guess you could put a pair of earrings in it. The box itself is nice and strong. It will not get crushed in the suitcase. So, if you're not carrying much jewelry, it will do well for you.

This is a perfect case for my needs. I read reviews for so many jewelry boxes and cases and then I came across this one. It's a little smaller than a CD case. I have probably 10 rings and 10 set of stud earrings in it. I could easily fit more. There is the issue of it tipping backward when open so be careful or your jewelry will tumble out. Great for travel. There is no way to tell the top from the bottom as others have also said in reviews. Great little case!
