It does appear so. There are two holes in the swivel. I thought about it, but the design of the bracket is so that you can mount it first and then easily hang the reel. I would hang it from the bracket. Love this thing though!!! Highly recommend it. I can’t even remember what I did without it. Well worth the money. Also, keep the amperage in mind. This is 15 amps and most of the other cheaper ones are 10A. My table saw runs on 15A so I had no choice but to buy bigger.

Q: Can the breaker be removed? Both my table saw and planer (15 amp motors) tripped this breaker.

Breakers are not designed to protect your electrical tools. How much protection is a 20 amp breaker providing to your computer that only needs 6 amps? Breakers protect your wiring from over heating and causing an electrical fire. A long 12 gauge extension cord with soft flexible strands that are rolled and unrolled cannot carry as much amperage as a solid non stranded house wire that never moves. Replacing the circuit breaker in the reel with a 20 amp breaker will put the extension cord at risk of overheating near your ceiling and catching fire.

If you research what wire to use for a 20 amp circuit you will find that a 12 gauge wire will work if you keep it within 100 feet. Over 100 feet you will need to increase to a 10 gauge wire. 10 gauge extension cords are available, but I could not find a retractable 10 gauge extension cord.
