10 Pcs 90 Degree Hinges Wooden Box Gift Wine Jewellery Box Chest Case Hinge

I installed these on four jewelry boxes I made for our granddaughters. I found them to be very satisfactory and operation was smooth enough. the screws are small brass so care is needed to drill a piolet hole, (a small head in a drill works wonderfully) and not over tighten. my only concern will be will they will hold up over time.

First - dimensions.These are 0.231 inches wide and 0.104 inches deep as measured with a Brown and Sharpe micrometer.Setting a 1/4 inch straight bit to 0.100 inches deep works great to inset these hinges into the box bottom and top.Length seems to be accurate too - cannot fit in my micrometer...will need to find my Mitutoyo calipers.These are nicely finished and seem to be a great deal for the price !

Not the quality I was expecting. This product would probably work better with very soft and light weight wood similar to hobby board. I will use these until they are gone, but I don’t see me ordering them again.

I build jewelry boxes. I am always looking for cost effective hardware and wanted to try this style of hinge. The package of hinges I received do not operate smoothly enough for small boxes. I tried exercising them extensively and then used lubricant and exercised them more. None of them ever worked well enough to put on a small box. They look good, the metal is substantial, they might be suitable for a small chest lid so there is some mass to help overcome the less than smooth operation of the hinge.

I reluctantly give this two stars. It really deserved one and a half. I read some of the reviews before buying. The reviews were very conservative. This product without the knowledge of it's long term performance is for sure only deserving of one star. It lacks the bulk / weight of a product of equal. It doesn't open and close with one quarter of its equal solid brass. Very disappointed. Did not expect an equal to the solid brass but at least half. Not well crafted at ALL!

these seem to work well for a smaller size box. Why they made one half smaller and squared instead of matching the other side is beyond me. Pretty dumb, but considering the outrageous price charged for the other solid brass side hinges Woodworkers or High Point sell these are a viable option.
