Easy to use, great skin tone with one “coat”! Lol

I have fair, cool-toned skin but have a bit of a tan from being outside right now. This color still works on my skin tone, it doesn't make me look orange. It gives me a light wash of color and some bronzing, but not as dark as something like self tanner that lasts. I feel like I had to use quite a bit of product to evenly apply and achieve the color I wanted, but it looked nice blended in with a tanning mitt. The mitt applied it nicely, but I feel like also drank up a lot of the product, I would probably try a brush for application next time. This is something I'll use for special occasions or photos, the bottle looks big, but there's not a ton of product in it, only enough for a few applications if I do larger areas like my legs. This is a scented product, it has a sweet, fruity, hint of floral scent which I did like but not everyone may - it does not have any kind of vinegary smell that self tanner does. It didn't seem to transfer while I was wearing it, and it washed off easy with a loofah and soap in the shower.

I am reviewing Bali Body instant tan cream, which at the time of this review was $24 for a 5.07oz container. I'll start by saying this product does work well for a TEMPORARY self tan. I do think this could be highlighted better in the description; I was expecting a more lasting sunless tanner. But that's on me for not reading all the photos before ordering so I can't really ding it for that.However, it is a very natural color and does a great job of mimicking some sun kissed skin, which is great for the middle of winter in the midwest! Some of my sunless tanners have a green tint to them, so I have to apply them hours before going out. This is a perfect shade immediately after applying. It also smells nice, and does not have that distinct 'fake tan' smell that can come a few hours after using some sunless tanners. It also doesn't stain my hands.Now to the bad. First and foremost, it's just not a good value at this price. You don't get much for your $25; it will last me a while because I just use this on my face, but if you're doing your whole body I can't imagine you'd get more than 5 uses out of the whole bottle. Also, it's a very thick product and feels like it's drying before I can fully apply it, so it feels like I'm missing spots before I get it fully worked in. I started cutting it with just a tiny bit of water to help it stay liquid while I worked it in, which helped.I think if they got the price down to about $6-$10 it'd be a decent value, but I can get long term great quality sunless tanners for $10 every day of the week here on Amazon, so this priced at nearly $25 is just not a good value.

This has a slight unisex fragrance to it, not overtly masculine as some unisex scents (in my opinion) but it is fairly strong and lingering and kind of refreshing being not the typical strong almond number. This gives a realistic brown tone, definitely not orange, which is ideal / natural looking for my neutral skin tone. It is not instant dark, that is for sure, quite the contrary so there's no fear of streaks and missed spots. Perhaps because it wasn't that detectable, I felt it was gone after showering, but I'll be experimenting with layering. The amount in the bottle doesn't bother me as I felt they designed the bottle for aesthetics and easy handling.

Literally does nothing. I’m a huge fan of BaliBody but this stuff is a complete waste of money.

I used to really really like valley but they seem to have changed because their products don't tan and this one washes right off the lotion is good though but the tanning part of his is nil it doesn't do anything to my skin and I've used tanning products all my life.....
