Good taste and texture
Bought this for the West Highland Way. It was one of the best camp-ready foods we had. The downside is that it weighs more than the alternatives.

OK side for 4, too much grain for one
I ordered 2 different meals to try on a short wild-camping trip. Each 'meal' offers 800cals at a supposed low weight, but I thought I'd prefer it lighter and fewer calories and weight...pretty heavy for a dehydrated meal. Unfortunately, a label was stuck right over the cooking instructions and I couldn't remove it properly to read them. It is simple though...you add some boiling water, stir, cover and let it soak for 7-8 minutes. But...the amount of water is different for each meal...I couldn't read the amount under the label!Flavour is quite nice, but both meals included a sizeable batch of whole almonds...not a great addition for texture...far to clunky for my taste. In the end you get a large and very grainy texture that quickly becomes more of a chore to eat than a tasty relaxing meal at the end of a day's hike.One pack would make a pretty good side-dish for 4 people, I reckon, but overall these meals won't be going in my pack again.Likes: Flavour was quite nice

New standard in camp meals
Excellent. Very very good. Previously a slave to wayfarers, but these will supplant I think. Just two thirds the weight while providing twice the calories (so what's that, three times the calories per gram). They were delicious AND tasted healthy. An extra shout out for the minimal waste generated. Much less than wayfarers. Well done.

Not Pleasant!
I didn't enjoy this one at all. It had a hard, gritty texture that became tiresome to eat. There was nothing pleasant about the flavour. It just tasted like a mixture of random peppers. Maybe some might like it, but I thought it was vile!

Delivery was prompt, the customer service was really great, and the food was delicious, with very accurate description of the final portion size. I defintiely recommend TentMeals for anyone, vegan or not, who wants a healthy, tasty expedition food option.

Never again
Might have got a bad one but this was disgusting. Tasted of plastic. The jalfresi tent meal is fantastic
