3/8 mister tubing to hose bib...works great

Great couplings. The brass fittings are of high quality and come in frustration-free packaging. These things are great and are exceptionally easy to install. They're push fittings, and work in a similar fashion to a Chinese finger trap. To release, you push the brass ring into the body of the coupling and pull the tubing out. However, as other's have mentioned, ensure that you cut the tubing straight to prevent any potential leaks from the coupling. I used these with the Orbit Arizona Mist 3/8" misting system. I highly recommend these

I'm sure this might be fine. Was using to connect two 3/8 plastic tubes for a HIGH PRESSURE misting system. This would not work with the plastic tubing, compresses the plastic so that it leaks, and did not work with high pressure.

While there was no documentation ANYWHERE on how to connect this to my 3/8 inch line, it simply "plugs in" and uses some sort of a compreesion sleeve to get the existing hose to stay. While I just started using it, the hose remained in place and there was NO leakage! :)

Plastic fittings just don't last in Az. The sun destroys the seats. This on should last.

I have misters on my patio that were a kit from the same manufacturer, but the connector to the hose was cheap plastic and failed in a year or 2. This part was a perfect fit, sturdy and should outlast the rest of the mister kit. I just wish this was part of the original kit as it's really the only part that can fail from stress.
