The ability to change my oil without lying on a cold garage floor is a blessing, indeed. This pump is simple to use and makes routine oil changes a breeze. Thee's no mess, which is an added bonus if you like a clean garage. It's no barn-burner; patience is required to remove all the used oil. But it does the job well. Be aware that some newer vehicles don't have dipsticks, or may have partially blocked dipstick tubes. This pump won't work with these vehicles. But if it works for you, you'll save a lot of money and effort to keep your vehicle in top condition.

Getting the oil up to the pump is very slow, but it's fine after the oil gets there. Don't place the pump any higher than you must. The hoses arrived tightly coiled. Straighten them out in a warm place overnight before using and you will have a much easier time of it. I'm sure that hot oil will ruin both the impeller and the seals. When the pickup runs dry, you'll hear the air in the pump. Move the pickup hose in and out gently and you CAN pick up virtually all the oil. Be patient.For an old guy this is much better than crawling underneath the vehicle and removing the drain plug. The fact that my vehicles use lightweight synthetic oil might be helping.

Doesn't pump cold oil at all out of my 5.7L merc. When the oils hot it barley pumps. Takes 4+hrs to get a liter out basically would take an entire day to drain engine if it ever dose.... I had one similar years ago that would pump a gallon of cold oil in less than 30min.

Item was as described. Easy to use and was functional.

I was all prepared to change the oil on a Dodge Challenger, had all the supplies ready to do the change under the heavy vehicle. Then saw someone online using this, figured why not, Sooo glad I did! Didn't have to get under the vehicle nor use any of the ramps jackstands oil pans etc. What a difference! It emptied my oil tank, just make sure you mark the tube w dipstick for length, have empty containers for your oil, plenty of rags to protect your car if any drops, but the change was easy. Mine worked without a problem and cleaned it up afterwards for storage. Seems like it would work again and again. If not I wouldn't mind buying it again, way cheaper and safer than going from under the car and way less steps!

Works as claimed but it is a very lightweight pump. You should warm up the car before sucking out the oil - it struggles with cold oil. I gave it lots of rest when it started getting hot making the oil change a little slow but still way easier than getting under the car and taking off a million bolts to drop the stone guard from under the engine. Its tough to justify a more expensive and likely more powerful and durable pump when you only use it a few times a year. Be patient and gentle with it and it will do the job. Hint: You will need long jumper leads if your battery in in the trunk.

It's a $20.00 pump and that's what you get. It works not fas but it does the job. It's pound but it works. It probably won't last to long but it was 20.00 not 100.00 so if you're looking for a good fast pump don't be cheap if you need one for a couple of times and cheap this is for you.

After purchasing other products that promised to work this device was the only one that did work.
