I finally sat down to use this set to relieve the pain of an ingrown toe nail (I bought it months ago). I was first blown away by the quality of this set for the price and I loved that it came with instructions! I followed the step by step instructions and I haven't felt this good about this toe in a long time (no more pain). There are separate instructions on how to cut the toe nail & how to use the nail lift tool. Follow those! The cutting instructions tell you not to pull while cutting. Use me as an example of what happens when you don't follow instructions because I pulled and it hurt! I had to take a break and remind myself of the importance of following instructions! Lol For the nail lift tool I had to have my husband help me because I was having a hard time latching onto my toe nail while twisting. So I latched, then he held the middle part, while I turned to lift the nail. The piece that goes on your toe is magnetic and tends to fall off so it's good to have another person help until you get the hang of using it. I'm going to use this set more often and be more mindful of the socks and shoes I wear in hopes of stopping the ingrown toe nail altogether.

Came with more tools than I needed

I have frequent problems with the nails on my big toes. They always curve downward at the edges and hurt the fleshy part of the toe. I've done things like shove gauze or cotton under the offending edge, but those get pulled out and I find bits of used cotton on the floor (if my cats don't find them first). And I'm never sure how long to leave cotton in, whether to change it after showering or take it out before, etc. I'd been looking for a better solution for a while and opted to get this kit, since it included all the standard pedicure stuff along with that funky little toenail straightener vise/clamp/whatever. The instructions are easy to follow, and I am pleased with my results. The tools are all easy to use, and the process was relatively painless. After the soaking, trimming, etc., I kept the vise in place until it dried, which was about 20 minutes or so. While that one was drying I kept my other foot soaking and then repeated the process on that foot. The instructions had me put gauze under the toenail edges to help maintain the new shape, and I repeated the process again the next day. My toenails have given me far less pain since then, and I have used the nippers and file from the kit a number of times as well. The metal file would be too harsh for my fingernails, but it works just fine on my toenails. Overall I'm happy with the kit and am glad to have a new, effective tool in my anti-ingrown arsenal. The kit came in a little black cardboard box, with all the pieces packed neatly in foam inside it. I got rid of the foam, as it makes it difficult to remove the tools. They are all currently loose in the box, which isn't ideal. I think acase of some sort with elastic to hold the tools in place would be handy, but it's definitely usable as it is.

My wife bought a toenail clipper from the pharmacy in the grocery store where we shop. The price was too high and the store charged her for two clippers, so I took the clipper back and got our money returned. I told my wife I could do better on Amazon. After research, this kit looked like the most for our money. I was right! The toenail clipper is larger than the ones my wife got at the pharmacy, and has easy to grip padded handles. It's extremely sharp, so be careful, but the cutting head comes with it's own little slip-on hard case. The kit also comes with a nice, average sized fingernail clipper and a whole bunch of tools for digging and prying nails, including a cool mini puller for slowly pulling up the edges of an ingrown toenail (you soak the nail first to soften it!). The included nail file is really nice, sized larger than most so it fits a larger hand like mine well. All in all a great kit for the money, and I would especially recommend it for men with larger hands. There's even a tool included for skin blemishes such as blackheads.

The tip is too sharp for me. The slightest poke leaves me bleeding.

Very good quality

I have been struggling with ingrown toenails my entire life. Back in 2016 I had toe nail surgery (they cut out the sides), now in 2022 those sides have grown back. They’re not as hard as my original nail, but they still dig in and hurt. My big toe was in so much paid that every time I’d touch it I’d wince. I finally got this kit knowing that I had a piece stuck in the sides. With the smallest tool and the tweezers I pulled out that sucker from the side. I was able to pull it out right up to the nail bed. The thickest part was growing into my toe and causing so much pain. It’s such a relief to get it out!!! I also think this kit will be good for cleaning childrens nails. My sons freak out whenever I’m getting the gunk out. These tools are really going to help

Found the one device hard to use. Other then that, I like everything else.
