As an antenna manufacturer, we tested the range of the WAVLINK AC1200 Outdoor Long Range Weatherproof WiFi Extender in AP mode mounted at 25 feet. We used an iPhone and found speed dropped to 1MBs at 500 feet for 2.4GHz and 1MBs at 800 feet for 5GHz. 2.4GHz should go further than 5GHz, but that's the results. Coverage was good. Signal quality, strength, and connectivity was consistent. More data will be added as we test other modes. A big plus it that the software interface makes this system easy to setup.

Incredible range with other WAVLINK extenders. Web address for setup can be frustrating to navigate. Patience required. Will not work with PoE++ Netgear network switch which surprised me. The same Netgear switch I use to power the 2 bigger WAVLINK extenders I have (AX3000), will not power this smaller one. It won't even work with a different model WAVLINK extender injector (AX3000), must use the PoE injector that it comes with in the box. It can take between 5-10 minutes to boot up after plugging it in. Full bars at over 600' through timber, although that may change when the leaves return this spring. All in all, this can definitely solve your problems if you need wifi across your farm.

Very short range. No where near what in claims to be. Try anything else would be my advice. I'll change this if fiddling makes perform but there isnt that much to adjust really.

Works fine. I may need to tweet the location. But it does as well as the one I had a monthly charge on from the internet company. I would buy it again ….

I had an issue with an ac1200 2-3 months after buying it. I contacted tech support and explained what happened and they were great. They responded very quickly to resolve my problem.

I had a few of the older TPC AC 600s. I just bought a nearly 50 year old house on 12 acres. I set this one up outside on a porch post and am using one of my old 600s to repeat the signal to an area where I had none. I’ve got a few more to add to my system to have signal everywhere I need it. Inside my barns and shops. Greenhouses and well pump house. I’m automating as much as I can. I’m a market farmer as a sideline. So being connected to all my temperature sensors, flow meters, and security system from anywhere else I may be keeps me from having to rely on someone to check things while I’m away.

Was expecting to have a longer range it did give me more WiFi connections and did extend it but not what I expected for the cost

Excellent range and reach for the price that you pay set up is not that complicated and they have helpful customer service
