Pretty good materials
★ Excellent stabilizer The Hohem iSteady M7 stabilizes very well and AI tracking works wonders, even with movement. The built-in light and long battery life are a plus. Easy to use and delivers what it promises. Highly recommended for recording quality content without extra help.

Great Smartphone Gimbal with Useful Features
I’ve been using this gimbal for a few days and I’m very impressed with its performance. The stabilization is smooth and helps make videos look much more professional, even when walking. The AI tracking feature works surprisingly well and follows subjects accurately without needing extra accessories. The detachable touchscreen remote is convenient and easy to use, allowing me to control settings without touching my phone. I also like the built-in extension rod and fill light, which make it great for selfies, vlogging, and group photos. Setup was straightforward, and the overall build quality feels solid and premium. Battery life has been good so far, and the carrying case makes it easy to store and transport. Overall, this is a feature-packed gimbal that performs exactly as expected and is a great choice for content creators and anyone who enjoys recording smooth videos. Highly recommended.

Long time Osmo user. This beats them all!
I've used the Osmo since the 1st Gen through the 8th. I always buy the pro version when it's an option. The issue is they don't do well with Pro Max, or Galaxy Ultra weight. The M7 is plenty strong for advanced movements. The detachable screen is cool once you figure out you need to turn on the little camera built into the fill light for it to have a signal. I don't use it, but it's a great feature for some. The Hohem app is not the best, but you don't need it. It's only useful for firmware updates. You can use all of the features directly from the gimbal. That's a really great feature. It works with the native Apple and Samsung cameras. It controls Black Magic camera also. I absolutely love this thing.

Phone Holder Quality Concern despite minimal use
I’ve been enjoying using my Hohem M6 gimbal, and it has only been lightly used so far. I pair it with my Samsung S24 Ultra, which is in a Spigen Tough Armor case—well within the supported size and weight range. However, I’ve noticed that the phone holder isn’t performing as expected. The wiring near the clamp is already frayed and exposed, and the plastic components feel loose, which affects stability when securing the phone. Given the minimal usage, this seems to indicate a quality issue with the holder itself.

It does what I need it to do so I'm cool
It works well with the Samsung 22 Ultra, which is a larger phone (229g), but you'll likely have to take a bulkier case off of it, or the phone clamps will not get a good grip, and your phone will be lost somewhere down a waterfall. Mechanically, this gimbal it's really amazing. It would have been amazing if engineers could allow a clockwise turn to go portrait, not counter clockwise and so you wouldn't need to take the phone out of the phone brackets to turn the phone upright- although, there is a mode if you tilt the gimbal to the right in PTF mode, it will turn it to a portrait mode with somewhat limited movement that is a little awkward but is still very usable to me. So I'm pleased I technically done need the app, just as I've heard about this device. The tracker is cool. Also makes the case that one doesn't need the application. Although, if you move too far away, like 10 feet (30 meters), your tracking starts to fall off drastically. But where you need to be, like when blogging or suchup close, it does its job well. I'm happy. I will day I HATE the tripod. It's complete garbage and made rather cheaply. I literally took it out now to calibrate the device with the tripod and noticed my gimbal was lopsided. 1 of the poorly made legs is too loose and goes beyond its designed limit of bend, so I can't use them. I have many replacements but the one with it sucks. Also beware if charging while using it. 10 minutes into using the gimbal, I got an "OVERHEATING" message with a really loud nose that will not stop until you unllug and turn the power off completely. I unplugged the charger and turned back on and haven't seen it since. That could be a problem if one need to use it for a long time but keep constant power going to it. I don't plan to do this but you never know. Despite that since it met me expectations exactly, it's a 5 for now. UPDATE: I did ask Hohem to replace the tripod feet and they did really quick. Really solid company.

Good Gymbal packed with features you will love ***
Here's a more casual and polished version: **Pricey but packed with features that actually matter** I've been through quite a few phone gimbals over the years, and this one honestly blows them away. Setup was a breeze - literally had it unboxed, phone mounted, app downloaded, and ready to roll in under 5 minutes. Yeah, it's expensive, but once you start using it you'll see why. The removable remote and tracking features are absolute game-changers. I love how lightweight it is, and the auto-balancing for different phone orientations (including wide-angle) just works seamlessly. Nice touch including both USB-A and USB-C charging cables too. One quirk that threw me off at first - it shuts down after about a minute if something's wrong. Turns out this is normal for most gimbals when the motors are stressed (usually from locked arms or poor phone placement). The LED display helps you get the balance right, so it's not really an issue once you know what's happening. The case is surprisingly nice - custom fit with the model logo. Looks pretty slick. Speaking of looks, the gimbal itself does have that plasticky feel that seems cheap for the price point. But honestly, I think that's what keeps it so light, and anyone who's held a gimbal for extended periods knows how much your arms will thank you. Making it out of metal would not necessarily make it stronger. My only real concern is durability - I'm definitely being extra careful not to drop this thing. The tracking feature is where this really shines. It doesn't just do face tracking - you can assign it to follow any object on screen. Super useful for product shots or when you want to focus on specific subjects. The app is intuitive too, and the zoom range is way better than I expected from my phone. As someone who's worked with professional camera gear for TV and documentary work, I've been gravitating toward iPhones for a lot of projects lately. This gimbal seriously expands what's possible with mobile videography. Bottom line: it's got features that matter and performs like a champ. I just wish it were closer to $200 instead of what they're charging. Not sure if changing market conditions are to blame.

Smooth Footage, Excellent Tracking, and Solid Build Quality
I've been really enjoying this gimbal so far. I spend a lot of time outdoors and I love running around in nature. Sometimes I'll spot a few birds, a deer, or just a beautiful moment and want to capture it, but when you're moving around a lot it's hard to keep footage steady. That's where this gimbal has made a huge difference. The stabilization is smooth and it makes my videos look much better than just holding my phone by hand. At first I honestly thought something was wrong with it. When I turned it on, it seemed to struggle, made some noise, and even started getting warm. After reading the instructions, I realized I had forgotten to unlock the three axis locks before powering it on. Once I unlocked everything, it became incredibly smooth and worked exactly as it should. Another thing I learned is that taking a moment to balance your phone properly is important. If the phone isn't balanced, the motors have to work harder to keep everything level, which uses more battery. After adjusting the balance correctly, battery life improved and the whole system felt much more efficient. One of my favorite features is the AI tracking. It can recognize me, follow my movement, and even respond to simple hand gestures to start tracking or recording. That's extremely useful when I'm by myself and don't have anyone helping me film. I recently took it to the beach and recorded a series of videos, and I was genuinely impressed with how smooth and clear everything looked. Combined with a good smartphone camera, the footage looks surprisingly professional. I'm still learning all the features because there are a lot of them. This isn't one of those products where you discover everything in five minutes. The more I use it, the more functions I find. The build quality is also excellent. Everything feels solid, well-made, and durable. The carrying case is a nice bonus and makes it easy to take anywhere. If I had one suggestion, I would love to see an additional grip or side handle included. There is already a mounting point for accessories, and I think having a lower grip and side grip would make longer filming sessions even more comfortable and stable. Of course, if the price were a little lower, that would be even better. anyway this is easily the best phone gimbal I've personally used so far. It takes a little time to learn the setup and balance correctly, but once everything is adjusted, the performance is excellent and it makes capturing everyday adventures much more enjoyable.
