Does this heat up on cold days?

The warmer the days the better it will perform. Yes, it will heat water on cold days, but will need bright Sun for at least 3 or 4 hours. You can always add a pot of heated water. On many occasions I have to add ice cubes to cool it down, else I will get scaulded

I just open up the fill cap and shower spout and let it dry out.
