BOIFUN 15.7" Portable DVD Player with 14.1" Large HD Screen, 6 Hrs Battery

My previous DVD player was on it's last leagues and I needed a new one. I ordered this model from Boifum and it has worked very well. The larger screen provides an excellent clear quality picture. It has a very good sound quality and volume level. The player is easy to use and the controls are clear to understand. It takes just a few hours to recharge. I am very happy with the purchase so far.

After experimenting with Boifun’s BFN-144 DVD Player for several days, I discovered that the unit has more capability than I expected. Using the headphone jack and the supplied AV cable, I was able to connect a pair of external speakers and a television. To connect the unit to a computer monitor, I used the supplied AV cable, along with an inexpensive AV-to-HDMI converter. Through the BFN-144’s USB port, I was able to load a 32gb Thumb Drive and play various MPG and FLV movies and video clips from the Thumb Drive. I had equally good results when I loaded a 32gb SD Card. When I had the DVD Tray, the Thumb Drive, and the SD Card loaded at the same time, the full featured remote control was particularly useful. The remote’s source selector button navigated seamlessly between the three sources, and the remote’s numbered buttons enabled me to jump quickly from one menu selection to the next on each removable device. The BFN-144’s HDMI-in port allowed me to connect it to a laptop, so that the BFN-144’s screen served as an extended monitor for the laptop. On the BFN-144’s screen, I could check email, or watch a movie, while opening other apps on the laptop’s screen. In every situation, the BFN-144 performed extremely well, with very clear screen resolution, user friendly controls, and good sound quality, from the internal speakers as well as from external speakers.

This is a nice portable DVD player. Nice size screen and great picture and features. I don't give it a five star because of the play time versus charge time. When I first got it recharge time was about 4.5 hours. Play time depending on the length of movie was about 2 to 2.5 movies. This last time it was 1.5 movies before it stopped. But depends on movie length. But the longer I use the player the longer it takes to recharge. This last recharge took over 5 hours. This is kind of disappointing because it takes 5 hours to charge to get maybe 2.5 hours of play time.

Arrived super quick with next day delivery. The screen is quite large, about the size of an average laptop screen. It is very lightweight and simple to figure out if you’ve ever used a DVD player. My five year old figured out how to use it without help within the first 10 minutes of unboxing it. The remote is handy and it came with both a regular outlet charger and a car charger. The audio is decent and the image quality isn’t the best but it’s good enough for the price point. Beats paying $200 and up for better quality on something that won’t get used daily. This is great for lengthy car rides or when the internet has an outage and the kids are bored. TLDR: you get what you pay for. It’s not the best quality but good enough to keep the kids entertained.

Exactly what I expected! My kids love using this portable DVD player. The screen is a big enough size to enjoy. It is also compatible with a retro game stick via hdmi and it works well! That is the main reason I purchased this player specifically. Buy it!

I purchased this DVD player for a blind woman that I help care for so she could have something to listen to her DVD movies and CDs. She lives in a nursing home and they help her to play her DVDs and CDs. She recently moved facilities and the old facility decided that the plug for this DVD player was garbage and they threw it out! :( we tried to find it but to no avail. I contacted Boifun.net directly and asked them for their help. They were VERY helpful and immediately sent me a new plug for the player. I was blown away by the customer service and very happy with this. The DVD player itself is easy to use, the system plays the DVDs that my friend owns with no problems, and the sound quality is perfect for her. She uses headphones sometimes and there are no problems. The screen has a clear picture, and it is the perfect size for someone that might need a portable DVD player. Would buy again if needed! I have only used it once since I purchased it so if things change I will return and update my review. This is my first time purchasing and using a portable DVD player with a screen larger than 10 inches and I have to say the larger screen is nice. The picture is average however. No better or worse than most portable DVD player screens. The sound is louder than most, likely due to the bigger speakers, but very tinny sounding. I solved that by plugging mini speakers into the earphone jack. The controls are going to take a bit getting used to as they a bit different than most portable players., and on the most important ones, pause/stop, volume up/down etc. they are just about impossible to read! The remote was tricky until I fiddled around with the batteries to get them to connect, but seems to be working for now. All in all an average player with a larger screen. The durability remains to be seen. Update: I returned the item. The remote stopped working very quickly. It was obviously not about the batteries. The picture on the screen was average at best...until there was a scene in evening light or at night. Then the picture could barely be seen or not seen at all. For the money I paid, this DVD player was simply not worth it and I decided to return it.

I’m very happy with this DVD player. I use it on long car rides. I will say fully charged it does not last 6 hours but does last probably a little over 4 or 4.5 but maybe that’s just the way I’m using it. It’s simple, straightforward; the picture and sound is fine for what I am using it for. The price is right. I use it with headphones and it does the job. I can only compare it to an old plugin portable dvd player I bought 20 years ago for probably $400 so it’s fantastic to have such great technology at a minimal cost.

Dvd player works great! Screen is larger than I expected as well. Runs relatively quietly, and easy to use with remote or controls on the unit. Would recommend for others looking for a portable dvd player. Sound could be deeper but you can also just play sound through aux cord or headphones easily

It has a vivid picture and the sound was awesome! My son likes it a lot! The screen is also wode enought to enjoy the movie. It is also easy to set up amd runs smoothly with no problem! Great buy!

Very bright and crisp display. Audio output is very loud which is good. What I dislike about it is that when you plug the video and audio output cable into the output jack. It does not cut off the audio from the DVD player. Like the fact you can get more use from it by using the video display with your firestick. All in all I am happy with it.

I love this dvd player. The sound is laoud and the quality screen is good. I specially love that we can put it on a table or flip and close the screen to hang it in the car for kids. The new HDMI imput option will be nice for my husband that leave for 2 weeks for work, he will be able to use his switch on a screen! :) I recommand, you will also get good guaranty services.

I wanted a slightly smaller format player than my last one, and this is the perfect size. The picture is full-frame and I found the remote easy to use. I’m happy with the sound quality and picture resolution.
