Great tire inflator
Very good tire inflator; compact and relatively quiet. Slightly annoying to only have the pressure gauage in Bar and not PSI as well. Not yet used the sealant to repair a puncture, but would expect it to work as most other formulas (along with the limitations of tire sealant). Overall, the pack is compact and well made.

Flat tyre saviour.
Perfect, easy to use replacement for the car puncture repair kit. Easy to use, no mess and effective.

A very handy piece of kit.
We have a VW Touran which does not have a spare wheel meaning we have to call the AA or carry one of these kits or go to the expense of buying a spare wheel but there is no storage so this takes up the boot space, so this kit is perfect. It comes with a compressor, a can of stuff which repairs the hole and a set of adapters which can be used for footballs, paddling pool ect. The whole set is contained in a zipped clear bag along with instructions. I have read the booklet just in case I am ever out and get a puncture and seem pretty straight forward so I am quietly confident that I would be able to use if I were driving alone.

Genuinely Useful and Compact
With so many cars these days not having a spare wheel and punctures being a fact of life for a driver it makes sense to carry a kit in your boot and this one has quite a lot going for it. It does not take up much space and comes in a zipped plastic carry bag. It can be used either to repair a puncture on the road or equally usefully as a device to check you tyre pressures and add some air. The 12 V compressor and the bottle of sealant connect together easily to create a one piece device and the idea of this kind of model is that air forces the liquid directly into the tear without the need to remove the valve which is certainly very handy if you get caught in a monsoon or heavy traffic. My judgement is that this works fine provided the puncture is a small one and there is no collateral damage to the tyre-it would not be safe on any large hole or abrasion more than about a third of an inch. The recommended speed after repair is 50 mph. You also get adapters for both footballs and larger sports balls plus one which should work with most inflatable mattresses and the like. All in all I like this kit-it is well thought out and made offering you a practical and easy to use way of a puncture problem. Note the sealant looks quite abrasive and there is a warning for those with skin allergies or asthma so as with all such devices be careful how you construct and use it. Still a useful bit of kit.

Excellent.
Excellent quality and value for money, especially when compared with getting the treatment done at a garage. Works very well, even when stressed out at a roadside.

Nicely thought out and well put together kit, with a few minor limitations.
There is essentially two key parts to the MaxTools Tire (Tyre!) Repair Kit, that will interest most people. These are: 1. The air compressor, with integrated pressure guage 2. The (300 ml) bottle of 'gloop' that is used to fill and temporarily repair a tyre. The pack also includes: 3. Manual / Instructions (in Italian, English, French, German and Spanish). 4. A small packet of adapters, which allows the compression to be used on everyday items. E.g. 'Football', ' Medicine Ball' (that annoyingly larger size that's normally not included!) and, what looks like a 'Presta' adapter (for cycles). The pack is all handily contained in a clear plastic / nylon pouch (the handle make sit easy to lift and the clear window easy to find things). All packed down, it's a little over 8" (21cm) x 6.5" (16.5cm) x 3" (8cm), so easily fits (as would seem the intention*) into a compartment / boot of a car. The compressor / inflator and gauge seem fairly well made / robust, with a standard 12V 'lighter / power' socket adapter (I've checked this with an older car, with a lighter socket, and a newer car that only has the power outlet, and it works fine from both). All the cables / lines neatly bundle up into the body as well, so shouldn't get snagged, if packed away. Used on its own, the compressor works quite efficiently (yes, it's fairly noisy, but that's a price for convenience) and was easily able to re-inflate a (non-punctured) car tyre. A couple of annoying little niggles struck me: 1. It's probably worth nothing that the pressure gauge is typical 'Euro' type, with the rating in 'BAR' (Max. 6 BAR), and there's no conversion table in the instruction booklet or on the unit (Top Tip - Something that I'll print out and stuff into the pack, should I need to use this and can't get a phone signal!) A quick check of a conversion, and a comparison with with a known / trusted pressure gauge says that the calibration is fairly accurate, but under-reads very slightly (if I'd gone with the gauge on the unit, my pressures would have been 'high', but still within safety / tolerance). 2. The power can only be taken from that traditional 'cigar / cigarette' 12V power connector, so that somewhat limits the sources of power (there's obviously no transformer or option to run from a 5V USB power source. Not a problem for most vehicles, but limiting if you have a motorbike with no power take-off. One nice touch / feature is the 'through valve' for the Tyre Sealant, and that's certainly a plus point when compared to similar kits. This means that you can 'inject' the sealant into a tyre whilst using the compressor. You in effect, are using the compressor to get the sealant into the tyre. This is unlike quite a few systems, where there's separate application for the sealant (which is normally applied by hand pressure, squeezing a bottle or with propellant from a can); so there's a little bit of setting up (nothing more than plugging the compressor into the correct inlet on the bottle, then the bottle connects to your valve / tyre). You also don't need to mess around with removing a 'valve core'. Again, as well as being simpler, it's also considerably safer if you're in any way unsure. The compressor also has a small 'notch' or 'slot' into which the bottle can be mounted. This keeps the bottle in the correct position for application (upside down, so that the fluid will flow) and means that it can be operated easily on your own. As to the effectiveness of the sealant, that's hard to say, but it claims to be able to cope with all the 'common' puncture items up to "10mm"; but personally I'd be happy to use this, as intended, for a temporary 'get you home' (or to the nearest garage) repairs; and I'd really only consider punctures smaller than the recommended "10mm" (only my opinion, but that's quite a 'cut' to seal). Note: Maximum Speed Rating is also marked to not exceed "50 Mph / 80 Kph" and should not be used for 'Extended Periods'. So, other than a few (small) limitations, it's a very nicely thought out and well put together kit, that does as intended. It's certainly a cheaper option that the 'OE' kit that I get get from my local main dealer (and which doesn't offer the extra adapters). The only other drawback that I can spot is, there's no information (yet) on where to get a replacement bottle of tyre sealant; and yes those instructions' could be better. If in doubt though, it's best to leave it to a 'professional' and have that breakdown number to hand.
