Thick "Guacamole," Needs Additional Ingredients
For this product, I wasn't sure quite what to expect. Freeze drying products has come a long way, so I was hopeful this has a good guacamole flavor! Calling this... "guacamole," is a stretch though in my opinion. What comes to mind when you think of Guac? For me it's not only the avocado (which this has), but also the tomato, onion, lime juice, some salt. This JUST has avocado, which I guess I could add my own, but that defeats the "portability" of this product. I'll also note the labeling on this is a little confusing. The product lists 7 servings despite expecting you to use the entire product. I can't imagine saving this in the fridge after making it (avocados oxidize fast). I'd rather the serving size just be the whole packet. For the preparation it was pretty easy. You just pour in 5-6 oz of water (I used 5.5oz) then mix mix mix until it thickens. The product also recommends throwing it in the fridge to keep it cold (I wish I just did that with a glass of water instead). It thickened quickly and after a few minutes I tried it. On it's own... it's a 1 star. It's literally just dehydrated avocados, you can't eat that on its own. I added some hot sauce, sea salt, and pepper. That made it go from tasting pretty bland and sour to tasting passable as an avocado bowl. This might go better with a bowl of rice as well, but when the bowl is already 350+ calories, I'm hesitant to add even more! All in all, if you need something like this, you need to bring your own spices and flavors. Maybe that sounds good for you on a camping trip in which case this might be fine. It will last months at least! Though since it only tastes good cold, you may just be better off buying some pre-made guac from the store or making your own at home and storing it in a cooler.

Avocado with no favourable surprises!
Thought I would get this to try them out with the cost of food on the rise. The freeze dried avocado were not bad in my opinion, but it did not "wow" me honestly. I wish it had more seasoning, and flavor in this packet to give it the little boost it needed. Overall, when in a pinch and craving avocado toast - it did it's thing.

Good texture but bad flavor
I love avocados and was excited to try this, but I just can't take the way it tastes. I mixed it with water and it mixed quite well and quickly became a good texture, but I tasted it and it tasted like cardboard. I thought that mixing it into a smoothie might cover up that cardboard flavor, but it didn't. It really just tasted bad. I'm disappointed.

Add some variety to your next Camping trip
You're not going to mistake these for fresh avocados, but for a freeze dried product it is not too bad. Was hoping to be able to add this to emergency supplies for some interesting variety. I ordered in late December 2024 and the package I received had a best buy date of May 2025. I would expect freeze dried sealed packages to have a little more shelf life. With such a short shelf life it does ot lend to Emergency supplies very well. May be a good fit for camping/hiking.

Sold old
Received it March 20th 2025 with the date that expires September 2025 what a disappointment freeze dried or dehydrated should have a long shelf life of years

Just plain avocado base mix. Add spices or veggies to make it pop.
Easy to mix but start out with less water and add to get the consistency you want. I mixed mine thick and added some hot salsa to it to impart some flavor and some chunkiness to the final product and it tastes great that way. This is just plain guac so you can add spices or in my case the salsa to spruce it up if you want. A lot better to mix than to spend the prep time with the avocados.
