Love this knitting system. The cables aren't too stiff, very smooth needles. Occasionally the needles come loose but I haven't found any interchangeable system that doesn't. I make it a point to tighten before starting and to check tighten every hour or so. Very durable and versatile.

this is the best cable and needle, point blank. Don't believe me? Waste your time with other brands that does not have the same free memory and material in their cable, while you're splitting strands with your not sharp, like these ChiaoGoo needles. IMO

This is a very fine cable and is hard to find. The cable may look fragile but it is sturdy yet flexible because it is made of nylon-coated multi-strand surgical steel.NOTE: The Twist Red Lace Interchangeables which come in the BLUE pouch for US 4-8 (3.5-5.0 mm) short tip needles use the SMALL cable.TIP: The RED and BLUE pouch needles have 2 sets of each size with one pair slightly longer than the other pair. This makes it easy to use one longer needle paired with a shorter needle which is useful for knitting socks and sleeves in the round.
