This is a great little hoist, easily manages a full barrow of tiles and bricks. The control cable is just the right length, the speed is still OK even when doubling the pulley cable for heavy loads such as these tiles. Easily manages 12 concrete blocks in one lift too.I put a cover over the top to keep the heavy rain off and put the handset in a plastic bag for the same reason and to keep it clean from mortar on our gloves. For the price you can’t go wrong even if it’s just for one extension it would Pay for itself.Note: Just add a couple of small carabiners when doubling up as the hook in method is a bit close to the cable on the spool. Keep some tension or weight on the cable as you are winding up as when no load is present cables can wind very loose and may get tangled but this is the same with any make of hoist. The power cable is not too long but add an outdoor extension lead like we have and it’s sorted.

We are shifting heavy items in and out of the loft.

Delivery was super quick and it was well packed. Looks to be exactly what I needed and as described, except it contains 2 cintinental plugs and NO ENGLISH PLUG

Powerful hoist, fast reel in and out, a little too fast in single lift mode, but when you double it up to the full weight capacity the speed is then halved.

This product has made my work so much easier

I purchased this winch to lift just 100kg not even a third of the specified limit. The first time the cable was fully let out it jumped out of the reel when being rewound and jammed with a 100kg weight on the end of it. The second time the cable tention against the side of the reel housing caused the autostop to kick in meaning I had to hold the saftey latch back with my hand.The third and final trial with this machine the cable again jumped the reel but also tightly wound the electricl section and shorted it out.The motor runs extremely hot and I would not give this to anyone to use as its so dangerous.Also aside from the dangerous cable and reel set up it states in the description that you can mount this on standard scaffolding pipe.... you can't plain and simple. The only pipe you can attatch it to is half size pipe and even then it will move all over the place.Chinese junk..... Dont purchase!

The winch had been great (used in a lot installation). Superb service from AIM tools who supplied a new switch unit when the original developed an issue. Overall an excellent purchase, really easy to install and use.

Got this to help aid with moving a 300kg machine, so it was on its limit as advertised but considering it was only lifting half the machine say around 150-200kg it couldn't manage it without struggling.The welded nuts inside that mount the brackets where welded at such an angle the bolts where nowhere near straight and the brackets them selves where full of sharp metal burrs where they have just been stamped and left without any care.
