Friendship Dairies originated over 95 years ago in the small town of Friendship, located in upstate NY, where its founder first crafted an old world-style cheese called farmer cheese. In Poland, this type of cheese is known as White Cheese, Twarog or Bialy Ser and is commonly used as a filling for blintzes. In its early days of production, this all-natural cheese was produced all week long then transported by railway to be sold on the streets of New York City.Today the hands-on approach and old-world flavor are the same. Friendship farmer cheese is made by pressing the curd until almost all of the liquid is eliminated. It has a mild taste and moist texture, and yet is dry enough to be sliced. And if you have an aversion to lactose, it only has 0.5% per serving, so it’s a nice way to enjoy dairy when you’re on a restricted diet. I've Look for Friendship Farmer's Cheese So Long!
Right now i will give it a five-star rating because Im so excited to see Friendship Farmer's Cheese for sale! Geman's from Russia call it Hoop Cheese. I dont care how much it costs! I've not been able to get from anyone since I moved Texas 6.5 years ago!This cheese is used in our house for a recipe call Veranika, some call it Veraniki. It's an old recipe from the German's from Russia from 1700s to the 1900s. It's like a stuffed dumpling, boiled, fried in butter that is made from very rich ingredients and smothered in cream gravy. I hope so much my cheese comes in satisfactory coolness and condition because i will use it the minute I get it!I received my Friendship Farmer's Cheese today. Im so glad I ordered when it was cool outside because it was cold/cool from the package but it was fine. Definately won't order in the hot Texas summer. I'll buy it now and freeze a few pounds for summer.Thank you for providing this product! I really thought i'd never be able to purchase it again! Brings back fond memories for my family and myself. Priceless!

Arrived very cold
Arrived a day early and very cold. I'm so glad I got the notice that the package was delivered. Our family will be using the Farmers Cheese for pierogi for Easter. This is the best cheese for pierogi the way my Mom made them. I can't find the cheese in any store like I used to. Thank you.

Usually good.. but not anymore
I have purchased this before with no issues. However, this last time, the cheese arrived warm with 2 ice packs melted and 2 punctured. The seller has refused to replace or refund. I’ve contacted Amazon for help. DO NOT purchase anything from this company.

Farmers cheese
Great product not easy to find locally in grocery stores - it is the exact brand my Mother in law always used in her cheese and potato pierogies so to get it and have the holidays as they used to be is fantastic!

Needs better cooling for shipping
My single package of Farmers Cheese arrived in a box that could have been more clearly marked Perishable as both ice packs were now liquid and cheese was warm. I would like delivery to ring my doorbell next time and identify Perishable in Red or huge print. I still ate the product . No stores in Michigan seem to carry it any more.

The BEST!!
I was a little concerned with shipping, there were never any updates.... by OH MY!!The freshest cheese EVER!! Packaged in Styrofoam, ice packs, extremely cold when I received!! Yes it was expensive, but the cost of Styrofoam, ice packs and SO FRESH!! no complaints here!!Thank you for helping my family celebrate a family tradition!! ❤️💗💕Because MRS. T'S pierogis is a swear word in my house!!!Merry Christmas!!

No ice pack??
I've bought this cheese several times abs never had an issue and I've always had an icepack inside. There was no ice pack and it arrived hot. I can not use this cheese. I need a refund or replacement. It's 55 bucks
