Great deal
Got these mantis on March 7, 2025, and they just hatched tonight while I was at work April 1, 2025. They are so cute and awesome. I kept my home at 70-75 degrees and sprayed a couple spurts from a water bottle every 2 days or so when I saw the moisture in the container had dried up. Just ordered fruit flies to feed them and I will release most tomorrow so that I can keep a few for observation as they grow. My 7 year old is so excited. Thank you.

Very fun science kit
This was a perfect kit - both egg cases hatched (at different times) & many baby mantises were climbing about, waiting to be freed. This is not a very “exciting” science project until the day of hatching, but that one day makes it perfectly grand!

Bad eggs
We got a bad batch. We got them promptly and in a week we started see drill looking holes in the eggs. This was unusual as we Have been getting mantis eggs for almost a decade and we have never seen this. In the next day or so we saw fuzzy little wormlike bugs in the egg and have come to the conclusion that we have parasitic wasps in our eggs. Our first egg was completely empty and filled with these bugs. It’s a shame as we really look forward to setting them free in the garden with our kids.

Ootheca infested with wasps
Not happy. Purchased two of these, not a cheap buy. Within a couple of days of opening them they are both teeming with insects that do not appear to be praying mantises, but instead parasitic wasps that are feeding on the ootheca. Seller must have an infestation wherever they are raising the mantises. Will update as things progress.
