Excellent all round travel camera
I recently bought the Panasonic LUMIX DC-TZ99E-S Compact Travel Zoom camera, and after using it for a while, I’ve been really impressed with what it offers in such a small body. The biggest standout feature is definitely the 30x optical zoom. It’s incredible to have that kind of reach in a camera that still fits in a pocket. Whether I’m taking travel shots, zooming in on distant details, or just capturing everyday moments, the flexibility is brilliant. The image quality is solid in good lighting, with the Leica lens producing sharp and detailed photos that are more than good enough for holidays and general use.I also really like how easy it is to use. It’s very much a point-and-shoot camera, so there’s no complicated setup—just turn it on and start shooting. The tilting screen is handy for different angles and selfies, and the 4K video option is a nice bonus for capturing short clips while travelling.Build quality feels good too. It’s compact, lightweight, and easy to carry around all day without noticing it in your bag or pocket. The stabilisation helps keep shots steady, especially when using the zoom.If I had to mention a downside, low-light performance isn’t its strongest area, and images can get a bit noisy in darker conditions. Also, the lack of a viewfinder might be a drawback for some users, especially in bright sunlight.Overall, this is a fantastic travel camera if you want something small, simple, and powerful in terms of zoom. It’s not trying to replace a professional camera, but for holidays and everyday photography, it does a really great job.

Fantastic travel camera with awesome zoom
This is my third Panasonic 'travel' camera....the other two are still working fine but they just keep getting better and I like my 'toys' !!....(I'm in my 70s now). I used to have an SLR camera about 20 years ago with a few different lenses but this does everything I need with stunning picture quality. You have complete manual control if you want to be creative with shutter speeds and exposure. I just point and shoot. The optical zoom is amazing. Video is also very good. Definitely a big step up from using your phone and fits in your pocket.

Great zoom in a point and shoot camera
Brilliant service from the vendors. Can’t fault them. The camera replaces a similar one I recently lost so it feels like an old friend. The only downside? I was going to use the manual to learn how to use it like a proper camera I.e. not on automatic, but the instructions are too technical for me. The auto settings are excellent, however.

Disappointing colours and frustrating uploading via app
I tried the camera for a week but it wasn't for me. There were so many things just so difficult and/or frustrating. I will share a few that made me decide to send it back:- Ai mode colors were so Unreal. I took photos with Ai setting and with my phone and this camera colors were just nowhere near what I actually saw. Very bland.-Uploading content via app to phone only worked 1 out of 5 times. App kept crashing.- symbols in touchscreen not very intuitive and so may different info going on I couldn't remember (or see on screen) what I choose. What I did like was the zoom and the burst photos, very sharp. And the size of it, not heavy and does fit in your pocket.

Great zoom
Excellent camera. I have had cameras for over 50 years and love the size and performance of this little gem. The zoom is off the scale with amazing clarity in good light. I havent used it in poor light yet, the buttons are perfectly placed to access and the settings are straightforward to understand. Its one of my favourite pocket cameras I have owned....(and i have had a lot). Great size for a bag or large pocket. The images show the wide angle and the zoom. the tower is in the middle of the view

Great Point & Shoot. !!!
Ignore the technical psychobabble and comparison rhetoric - for the money this is a fantastic everyday camera and the zoom is excellent. You soon get accustomed to the lack of a viewfinder and Panasonic's auto setting is really good.

A good camera, untill...
This is a good camera until you want to use an external mike to make your video. There's no facility to connect an external mike!. In the age of vlogs and social media this is a serious omission. Regret buying it. Can't believe Panasonic made this mistake. They should stick to microwaves and phones they are out of touch with cameras. I wasted my money. Never again!

Me encantó

Wer also ext.

Missing the viewfinder!
Over the years I’ve owned several Panasonic Lumix cameras in this format and have used them so frequently that I’ve worn them out. The latest version has remover the viewfinder as part of the design I would have liked it if they had kept this feature. So, 4 stars instead of 5.
