Quality much nicer than expected.
I was looking for a quality adapter to use with my iFi IDSD amp. This worked perfect. The cable adapter feels of super high-quality and was terminated very well. I would trust this unit over many other unit units available.. I actually want to buy another one! The sound quality, connection and fit are exactly as expected! (Used with HD6xx and iDSD amp)

Fantastic Price and Quality
Absolutely fantastic adapter and price. l've used this adapter with my balanced HD800 (original Sennheiser "CH 800 S" balanced cable), and a custom made 4-pin XLR cable for my HD650. In both cases, l've been fully satisfied with this adapter and l did not notice any sound quality loss. l did very quick A/B comparisons (unplugging the adapter from my amp then removing it from the cable and plugging the 4-pin XLR cable back in the amp) and for the love of the All Mighty l did not find any difference in SQ. At the time, my amp was a Fiio K9 Pro ESS. l love the sound it produces but reliability is missing big time. Buy one only if you want to through $850 down the toilet. Boy, aren't those amps unreliable both at the hardware and software level. Do google it and you'll see. Same for the K9 ESS (non-pro). Wonderful sound until it lasts (luckily, Amazon always had my back).

Works as intended
This connector works perfectly terminating a mrspeakers ether CX stock xlr cable to the 4.4mm out on my hiby r6 pro. It is solidly built from what appears to be quality materials, and since it was the cheapest available option for this very specific application, it gets 5 stars. As more DAPs come out with 4.4mm out balanced outputs (since it is winning the battle versus 2.5mm), this will have more and more uses. And it is a fine quality product. Only cable purists could nitpick it versus a more expensive interconnect.

User friendly, and neutral sounding
User friendly in adopting to various models and brands of balanced headphones to amps/dac, that has 4mm balanced inputs. Very neutral sounding too.
