Cambel hausfeld air compressor
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Good price and is exact fit and works perfectly Just missing the 2 screws for the grounds and pieces that hold wires coming into switch housing but I used the ones off the old switch

Fits very well despite a different design
Was a different design from my original, but works great and was easy to install!

Works Well But Keep Your Old One Until You Finish
This item did fix our air compressor (Craftsman model that has Campbell Hausfeld parts/components), but we did have to use some items off of our old switch/cover unit to complete the installation. This included the side plug caps and the flat spade adapter contact pieces for the upper electrical connection (to match the spade ends already in place on our power cord). The unit has performed well to this date, but we would recommend keeping your old part until you know you are absolutely finished, and the new unit performs as it should.

This works fine.
I transferred the pipe plug, blow-off valve and gauge over to this and it works fine. If replacing the same type of switch you'll have to reuse the clamp that holds the wires from the motor to the switch. The only negative is that the hole for the screw that holds the clamp is not threaded as others have said. A 10-32 tap will take care of that in seconds. The ground wire hole was also not threaded but the original screws was a self-tapper.Wiring is easy; the switch is marked 'line' and 'motor' to show where the wires go. Makes me wonder about the 'electrician' in another review as to why he had to break out a meter to figure it out.

Exact fit
Husky 70gal compressor. 2nd one ordered and seem to last about 7 years with average compressor use. Probably just buy another to have on hand.

Poor quality and received with missing parts
When I received this switch it seems someone had gone through the package and pulled the parts they needed. Or, maybe it had been returned before? It was missing the wiring clamp and screw (which is proprietary to this device), the ground screws, the port plugs, and two of the tabs to attach the Line wires. After working around those issues, I turned the compressor on and found I needed to decrease the cut-in/cut-off a little so I turned the screw one half turn. That was all that was touched. After re-installing the cover the red on/off knob was no longer spring loaded! During the installation of the pressure switch, the cover had been removed and re-installed multiple times and always worked fine afterward. When installing the cover, the knob must be placed in the Auto position as I had done before but, for some reason now it doesn't work at all! The spring appears to be located in the body of the switch and is not easily accessible. Also, the knob is normally spring loaded to move it toward Auto/On by default and a plastic catch in the cover holds it in the Off position. When that plastic catch wear's down, it will tend to turn it on by itself. Isn't that backwards? As a safety precaution, it seems it would be better to have the spring move it toward the off position by default and the plastic catch hold it in the Auto/On position. This way, if or when it fails it will go to the off position.
