24 Inch 2 IN 1 Dual Zone Drawer Wine and Beverage Refrigerator

This is a review of the Velieta Brand 3.2 cubic foot mini fridge, model TAYL86. This black, shiny model with the glass front looks sharp and modern. It fits nicely into just about any room without standing out in a bad way. My unit was shipped via FedEx and although the outer cardboard box had rips and tears, the inner contents, surrounded by foam, survived with zero defects. The blue LED temperature display on the front is quite bright—easy to read from across the room. Note that this is the 7-segment temp readout, not the interior light. One nice touch is that the controls are located on the OUTSIDE top of the door, so you can adjust the temperature without opening the fridge. Temperature Performance The digital display on the door does not always agree with the internal temperature, so I strongly recommend using a separate thermometer inside to dial it in properly. There is a circulation fan in the middle section, but temperatures still vary by location. The bottom stays warmest, likely because of the compressor compartment beside it. I tested the lowest setting for a couple of days and saw the center shelf (near the fan) drop to 33°F before settling around 34°F. For my medicine storage needs, I adjusted the thermostat to hold the fridge between 36°F and 46°F. All the readings below reflect that target range: • Middle shelf by the fan: 36.3°F to 37.0°F (not counting the brief defrost spike) • Bottom floor: 47.3°F to 48.3°F, average 47.7°F • Top shelf: 42.6°F to 44.8°F, average 43.4°F Within each zone the temperature stays very steady—usually swinging only a degree or two within a 90-minute cycle. That is good regulation for an inexpensive fridge. Please see the attached graphs. Defrost Cycle This model has an automatic defrost that runs every 13 hours. It lasts about an hour and causes a short temperature and humidity bump. Water evaporates from behind with no external moisture or mess. Average relative humidity stays around 60%. Other Details The condenser coils are hidden in the sides, so you can slide the unit right up against a back wall. The outer walls get warm but never hot, good for under-counter use as long as you leave a little room for airflow. Noise level measured 43 dBA at one meter from the door center. All I heard was the relaxing sound of the fan. It is quiet, perfect even for a bedroom corner. Current draw at 120 volts was 0.8 A with the compressor running and a bit of a power factor. The compressor starting current spiked to 7.6 A briefly. This means that, while it uses relatively little electricity, you need to plug it straight into the wall socket or use a short, heavy-gauge extension cord to handle that startup bump safely. Final Thoughts I am pleased with this fridge overall. My only real wish is that the air circulated a little better for more even temperature distribution. This is probably the norm for something as small as 3.2 cubic feet. The dazzling display could be a minor annoyance if you are sensitive to light at night, but it is not a deal-breaker. It appears that it would struggle freezing the contents, so as long as it never turns my medicine vials into Popsicles, I can recommend it for insulin and other temperature-sensitive medicines. With a 2-degree swing, it should also work well for wine storage.

The refrigerator works very well. It is quiet and the temperature does not change from its setting. No condensation in the interior. It fits perfectly in space dedicated to it in our bar/breakfast counter. Specially good about buying this refrigerator was the customer service. The unit we received initially didn't cool down to the set temperature in any of the two compartment. We contacted customer service and we got in a conversation with Tina, who requested pictures of the temperature settings and gave instructions to correct the problem. Nothing worked by following these instructions. After we tried everything, Tina informed us that a new unit would be sent to us. Less than a week later, the new unit arrived and it works perfectly. We are very pleased not only with the replacement unit, but also with the quick and professional response of customer service and its representative, Tina.

Purchased this indoor/ outdoor under countertop refrigerator for our covered outdoor kitchen build. We wanted a stylish dual zone unit that could handle near ice cold drinks and a separate zone for wine. This unit was just what we wanted. Installation and set up was super easy with the attached 3 prong outlet on a dedicated GFCI circuit for our outdoor island. The appearance of the unit and build quality seems very good, with the facing in trimmed stainless and glass front doors. The dual zones have independent temperature controls making it easy to store wine and drinks on either side. I had a few questions for the technical support team and they were very responsive in a timely manner.

I've had a wine collection for some time, and have used a mix of wine refrigerators, 3rd party storage facilities and bespoke wine rooms in my house to store it. I'm in a place now where 3rd party options are limited and I only wanted a wine frig for a 1-2 year transition to my next place. This seemed to fit the bill, and I've been pleased with it thus far. Shipping/elivery - determined an arrival/delivery date when I ordered the unit, but received a note 36 hours before saying, "it's in your area now...we need to deliver it tomorrow (early)...or we can't tell when it might be slotted for arrival." I work from home, so not a big deal, but could see how this would be super annoying for many highly scheduled folks. The delivery guys didn't speak English. Condition on arrival - came on a palette and shrouded in cardboard and foam. A bit awkward for a single individual to get unboxed (though the manufacturer does state it's a 2-man operation) but the product was unscathed and in excellent condition. Door adjustment/customer service - the door was a bit askew (slightly lower on the handle vs. the hinge end). Customer service was quick to respond to my query on adjusting it. Sent me a video on how to make the adjustment. And followed up. Unfortunately, there really is no apparent way I see to adjust the door and I would have appreciated the manufacturer simply stating that rather than taking me through a workflow that led to no joy. Operation - quite quiet. It sits near to my desk in my apartment and really isn't noticeable. My main refrigerator (about 3-4x further away) makes far more noise. It's been in operation now for a couple weeks so is in steady state - back-tested the temperature setting today and it seems to be within a couple degrees of the wine frig setting, so I'll call that good enough. Capacity - lots of discussion about this on the review board. I was able to get in roughly 110 bottles - a mix consisting principally of red wine with ~3 cases of Burgundy and ~2 cases each of Bordeaux, Rhone, Italian & Spanish. I took out two shelves to provide extra room for the larger 750ml bottles, but was able to double stack those and so probably didn't lose a tremendous amount of capacity to the shelf removal. Bigger issue for me is why the manufacturer didn't add an extra 1/2" or so of row height to the 12 shelves that are in there - it would have made sliding the shelves in and out so much easier and made it much easier to accommodate all but the largest bottles of Burgundy - would have only taken the height of the unit up by 6", which then would be roughly the same as a normal refrigerator. Anyway, that would be my primary suggestion for a Version II update. Net-net, I'm pleased with the purchase and feel like it was a good value for the money compared to other wine refrigerators on the market.

⭐ 1 out of 5 — Misleading Listing and Arrived Damaged I cannot recommend this refrigerator. The product I received looks noticeably different from what is advertised. The listing shows a clear red-to-blue lighting effect, but the actual unit displays primarily green and amber/orange colors. This was not a minor difference caused by my room lighting—the advertised appearance was a major reason I chose this particular model. Even worse, the upper part of the door or hinge arrived damaged. The door wiggles, will not close or seal completely, and allows cold air to escape. That makes the refrigerator unreliable and potentially wastes electricity because it must work harder to maintain its temperature. This is also a large, extremely heavy appliance, so returning it after unpacking and breaking down the box creates a major inconvenience. Customers should not have to deal with transporting and repackaging a heavy refrigerator because it arrived defective and did not match the listing. The cabinet and circuit-board concept could have been great, but receiving a damaged product that cannot seal correctly—and that looks materially different from the advertised photos—is unacceptable. Check the door, hinges, seal, lighting, and overall condition immediately after delivery, and keep all packaging until you confirm everything works properly.

This wine and beverage refrigerator exceeded my expectations. It arrived earlier than expected and generously cushioned and packaged to ensure protection during shipping. It is exactly as pictured, well made and attractive with its sleek all white cabinet. I searched for all white free standing wine refrigerator and struggled to find . The ones I did find in white had black or stainless sides. The shelves in this unit are customizable and I love the look of the wood shelves. They pull out smoothly. The dual temperature zones are great for storing variety of beverages in addition to wine. I can not emphasize enough the excellent customer service. I received prompt answers to my many questions before ordering as well as after I purchased. I am happy to say I have exactly what I wanted in its attractiveness and quality. It’s a much needed and nice addition to my Coastal home.
