Perfect for at home, and frequent travelers.
I recently bought the SanDisk 2TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD, and it’s been a total workhorse for my on-the-go storage needs! The read and write speeds—up to 2000MB/s—are blazing fast, making it a breeze to transfer huge video files or back up my photo library in no time. Its compact, rugged design with an aluminum chassis and IP65 water/dust resistance feels super durable, perfect for tossing in my bag without worrying about drops or spills. The included USB-C and USB-A cables make it versatile for my laptop and older devices, though I’ve read some Macs only hit 1050MB/s due to port limitations, which hasn’t been an issue for me. My only gripe is it can get warm during heavy use, but the sleep mode cools it down fast. For about $200 on sale, it’s a fantastic deal for creators needing reliable, high-speed storage—highly recommend, just double-check your device’s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 support

Fast and Reliable Performance
The SanDisk 2TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD with USB4 is a fast SSD drive. Outside of the price point being on the high side, if you need something fast for graphics, gaming, or backup, this drive is great. The SanDisk brand overall is at the top of the list for external SSDs. The SanDisk 2TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD is worth the money if you are looking for reliability and performance.

High speed with Mac mini
Best SSD for new Mac devices. I use it to expand the storage in new Mac min base model and it works out of the box.the speed test turns the claimed numbers and I see around 3500MB/s. Use the cable that comes with the SSD.

Very good product 4.5 stars
Very good item, quality build. I believe it needs a bit more of a heat sinking for larger data transfers, but it works just as designed. I would buy this fully integrated product vs. build it yourself because it’s manufactured in ESD environment to maximize quality and longevity. Mac compatible and is almost silent. The compact size is bonus.Transferred 1.25TB without a hitch.

Would not connect at 40Gbps
Only connected at 20Gbps. Replaced it with $100 cheaper Corsair 400u and got 40Gbps on same port.
